I need help understanding that better.
rats can target you and do damage, but you can not target back, and only see the message 'no reason given' . .. unless I get really close, I can never get a lock. When I say close I am saying I have to pass them 3000m or closer before I am allowed to lock. makes it tough to fight back specially when you gotta get 300m before you can lock and they are firing at you 30km+

The 'No Reason Given' Message comes up mostly because of you being out of range. Look at the locking range from your ship, and maybe boost it with a sensor booster, but with 3000 and closer I guess you are flying a frigate/noobship... __________________________________________________ This shall be the one thread, the one thread to rule them all, and in the Spamness bind them. - Ductoris |

Please bugreport all instances where you receive the "No reason given" message.

before I losdt the ship, I checked the stats/Attributes of the ship on the info . . they were actually wrong, but correct.
to make sense of that, they were the wrong attributes, but what they read was what I was able to do, once I replaced the ship with a new one, the attributes correct, unfortunantly, I thought I did a screen shot of the attributes, when I went to send a bug report, I had nothing to show, SS was not there, and never saw the problem again. I can not repeat. what it was, was they were not in the range I could lock a target in, that was the part of the attributes that was wrong, but right later. I should just get fraps, I do sometimes forget to take screen shots.

I noticed this myself the other day...ship info showed my Raven had targeting range 75km, but couldn't lock ships 56km away.
I think I figured out what it is...I had a WCS on...the WCS effect is not being reported back to Ship Info...should I bug report it? --- Monty Pythons spoof of the EVE Forums; Palin: "Is this the right room for an argument?" Cleese: "I've told you once." |
