Three years ago in a place called Venal a new entity was formed from the ashes of a floundering Corporation with an AWOL CEO in the midst of the Bio Mass vs. the NVA war. This was the start of what was to become a great and powerful corporation. A small group of loyal and dedicated friends who never gave a second thought to quitting or giving in to the bad luck that had found them. This was the birth of the 20th Legion, Legio XX as it is known to the members that have crossed its threshold.
To the end of the Biomass war into the PA and the GNW to the founding of Xelas and beyond, through the years the great Legion has held up its end of the stick in all it has endeavored to be a part of. Never looking back we moved forward always with our heads held high and our honor in full view for all to know and see.
Now at the pinnacle of 3 years of existence the time has come to lay our flag to rest and to move on to new horizons and new adventures. Sad as it is to see her go it is not without joy at the times we had and the Great Spirit it was. No doubt the mighty 20th will be remembered and the memories will for all that where her, be sweet.
Gratitude and Respects:
First and foremost to all the members present and past that stood for her with all they had. Thank You! Seems way short of what I wish to say but you know the true feelings.
To all the officers that served the members of the Legion, you are the best and it would never have worked without all you gave to it. Thank You! (Especially to you my friends Rolly, Phil, Glayva, Gess and Acid)
To the members of BoB, The best enemy we ever faced and the best friends we have had. It has been a long and interesting journey thanks to you. Your fierce determination during the GNW was our teacher. Then your friendship, loyalty and generosity towards us later are without a doubt the best of the best! Thank You!
To our great friend Dafuzz, Man I donĘt have enough words to thank you so just know you are in the top slot in this world as far as the 20th and I are concerned. Thanks Bro!
To Raven DeBlade, my old, really old friend! Thank You! Your loyalty towards us was awesome and I will never forget what you did for me/us.
CMD Woodlouse, Woody, you Sir are a great leader and still on my friends list. Thanks for the friendship and loyalty at a time when it was needed the most.
To Jade Constantine, I will never forget the chance you took on us in the NVA and the trust you showed to me/us at our worst of times. From friend to enemy to friend, Thanks Jade!
There are too many to name so I simply hope you know who you are and that I am grateful for what you did for us. This includes all the virtual enemies we faced as well.
Now the time has come, the flag is folded and stored safely away in a secret place deep in the heart of 0.0.
Who are we to try and see the future? The day may come that it will fly proud again over some battlefield. For now we move on, we reach for new heights, we Evolve!
Thanks all and Cya in space!

The 20th is an Eve "Legacy" corp and its emblem on the side of many battle-scarred ships hulls will be missed. GL to Cochise and his fellow pilots and look forward to hear of future deeds of eve-wide consequence from your group.

Huge amount of respect for 20th Legion.
These guys are the quintessential 0.0 corp, tons of experience, spirit, and drive. It's always a great shame to see a corp with a history like the 20th move on, but I know for a fact that the journey is truely what it's all about.
Again, Respect!

Sad news but I celebrate the fact that a corp like 20th went on for so long. I wish all its members the best as their futures in EVE and beyond unfold.
On a personal note, my dealings with Cochise were limited but I always found him to be a gentlemen in discussions and an honourable man.
Fly safe and true.

I wish you all the very best Cochise and all the other guys from 20th legion.
We did not fly side by side for a long time in Xelas alliance, but I still remember these days as some of my best in eve. And I'll never forget boss Cochise telling a small unexperienced corp, new to 0.0, how things are going there ^^

If anyone is to be grateful then we, the members of the 20th Legion are. I've been in this corp since summer 2004 and from a noob grunt solider i worked my way up in 20th to be CO-CEO and even CEO for a short time when you, Cochise, needed a break. 20th has taught me everything in eve, has shown me .0, pvp, eve-politics, leadership and much more. Looking back joining the 20th Legion was the best decision I've taken in eve and I'm grateful that you took me on board when I was a noob.
So on behalf of the member- and directorship I want to thank you Cochise for the great leader you are, for the way you demand the most of dedication and yet motivate your soldiers, and last but not least for the great times and fun we had on this ride.
Thanks for being a true friend. It has been an honor to fly under the flag of Legio XX and under your leadership.

I was a lowly mining manager in empire, sick of scordite, sick of level 3's...
The a friend came by and suggested that I join 20th, a corp I new little about.
It was totally different from my previous corps, It was a team and a family. 20th is a dedicated team of professionals, with expert teachers in every field, a potent and effective pvp fleet and an industrial wing that only ever had problems with finding hangars big enough.
I will always remember the teamwork, mining ops with some hilarious TS converations I really wish I'd recorded, and military operations with their ruthless efficiency and execution. My thanks to Mundem for introducing me to 20th, to its members for their tutition and the great times, and to Cochise for his excellent leadership and guidance.
I'll miss 20th and hope to see it rise again.
Thanks guys! Days without signature: 385 Days in Eve: 385 |

I can remeber quite clearly A time almost 3 years ago, (3 this feburary), I graduated from the science and trade institute 2 days afterward I was mastering the fine arts of mining in an ibis(said ibis now resides in akoinen) when the local channel lights up with conversation between an amarr pilot and a gallente pilot, The argument itself is now lost in time but the gallente went about correcting grammer so I took it upon myslef to correct his grammar. What can I say I'm caldari and he had a place on caldari prime I took issue.
A day afterward I was in a system called ostvestmunnur at the behest of my amarr friend Ziek handing in an application to join a corporation called the 20th legion. Being of the scinece and trade institute I took an interest in the Industrial/commercial side of things and began mining at their industrial base in osvest bringing in omber alongside Angelface, Ziek and Jon Locke. Time drew on and I became more aware of the 20th legions role in the Phoenix Alliance and that role required us to move closer to the north to a system called hentogaria which neatly coincided with my acquiring a license to fly gallente cruisers and my acquisition of a thorax cruiser(XX Eithne Currently in K3JR) After experiancing the thrill of crushing entire asteroids it became apparent that we needed more of a combat presence. The blackbird a most fearsome vessel especially when using the original firmware for the cruise missile launcher (which admittedly had a most crude navigational system and would often send missiles hurteling into unintended targets stargates and asteroids alike) It was on a patroll in one such vessel that I experianced the first moment of awe after getting over the splendor of the view afforded by the pods interface; a fleet of Northstar Starlight and 20th battleships all sliding out of warp a mere 3 kilometers onfront of me at the torrinos gate in EC-P. It struck me that I might well be with the 20th and the PA for considerable ammount of time. Time pressed on it became very clear that a battleship would be needed for the staying power my blackbirds lacked, The scorpion an obvoius choice but the guristas had developed an immunity to the EW capabilitys of the scorpion so a more direct method of dealing with the was called for. The thorax was certainly a fine vessel able to take on the lower level gurista and mine well so a Megathron("20th Akagi" suffered reactor breach in actions against m0o interlopers) was chosen the scorpion("Sunstroke" Lost to Reikoku/Jericho Fraction) that followed quickly afterward served me equally well and was commisioned in time to see the first hint of the great northen war break out and begin to spread.
After that war I had a become intimately familiar with both how large a system 9-266, how the orbits of each and every planet in BKG intersected and what they looked like from almost every angle and I had ceased to be a member of the 20th and changed to being part of the 20th. After that history which is well documented here on gallnet took it's course(documents may vary depending on source). Xelas saw me swept away in currents to places I hadn't expected I regretted my lower activity levels due to other considerations in taking part in xelas operations I'll not regret the friends I made there and the friends I've kept since happily a relativley similar numbers.
Then as we moved on from xelas I found my ability to accompany my comrades once again hindered(Read: work and yes I still do those hours) and so the combative side fell by the wayside somewhat and I went full circle and returned to my industrialist routes and tried as best I could to be a competent scout and Ewar specialist within the ranks. So here we are and what have I learned; Some flags will never fly lower than half mast and only wait to rise again aslong as people remember.

I ran out of space there and meandered a bit so I'll condense that into this. The people I've flown with over the last 2 years and nine months have been and made everything eve is to me. It's never been anything but a pleasure to fly alongside any of you the PA pilots, the xelas pilots and the fix pilots who I've flown alongside it's been a pleasure, the BoB piolts who helped us out immensley twice and who before that were **** fine opponents and of course the pilots of the 20th legion.
Now I go to find sleep and I bid you goodnight. |

Farwell 20th Legion , thanks for good times through the years. Was fun and honorable experiance flying with you guys here way back in the days when PA was still alive and kicking in Venal/tenal and later when we broke away from PA to form Xelas. Am still in Xelas and still have friends that where part of the 20th Legion way back then (2 years ago) when i first came accross that corp.
