These red-bars I see once per one or 2 hours (sometimes 2 per hour), and all give the Comm-Loss with EVE.

Whats the official word on this? Seems alot of people and not just from holland are effected by it.
I would like a official reply already if its not to much to ask for or do i have to get verbally nasty or something?
Its unplayable for me constant d/c's and/or computer lock ups i never had before your hardware changes.
I remphasize i would like a official reply .......so at the very least i know you guys are looking into it.

Getting really annoying Can't ratt without loosing my drones... cant take out carrier... cant do much of anything.
Same ip's giving the problems. If ccp wants, have big log files saved from PingPlotter.

Just as a funny side note here. I happen to have codin plaks in my buddy list (once wanted to contact him for a recruitment offer he had made and for some reason had always left him in the list lol) And i've noticed he Dc's at EXACTLY the same moments as i do..which i can tell cause he logs in 2 seconds after me
Anyways ..if you prefer ccp i'd be happy to relay your lack of replies and action to consumer/customer services in the UK. Perhaps you are more willing to reply to official agencies rather then --> paying <-- customers.

I got one another dutch guy in my corp. We both disconnect about every 20-30 minutes at the exact same time, the rest of the corp doesn't notice a thing.

Had the logger running till EVE timed out. The timeout was at the moment 212.187.128.58 (ae-1-0.bbr1.London1.Level3.net) had lost packets. The other router points, obviously, did too.
So for me the problem is indeed level3.net too

Edited by: FallenTitan on 13/11/2006 11:09:39 just to add to the list, i'm having the same problems with the disconnects. About every 10-15mins i get booted off eve while all my other internet applications such as MSN are still active.
i wonder what % of players need to have this problem before CCP acknowledges it.

We still recruiting btw! Oh srry, wrong forum
Any chance we are from same country since you disconnect at same times as me? Netherlands here.
Btw guys, i dont think this is a problem at CCP but at one of the isp's on route to ccp servers. But would be great if CCP could use it's 'influence' to perhaps solve this problem soon anyway.
Go CCP!

Having same problem. Yes, the Netherlands, yes, Planet ADSL. NPCing in a Domi losing a set of drones every 20 minutes, did some drone manufacturer hack our route to EVE servers or what

Yes codin im also from the netherlands. (planet internet user)
Anyways its clearly the london router/isp or whatever they are that are causing the problem. I see package loss from them... so umm ..maybe switch of that multi homing beacon thingy. Or umm maybe just make some frigging phonecalls.. or ummm maybe make some reply here as to what the F-ing status is on this.
I've noticed that on every tech(problem) related subsection of this forum 99.9% of every thread the only answers you'll find in there is from other players..!!! i mean wtf?? its like techsupport doesnt even exist other then the occasional dev. that drops by.
Im guessing you only got 1 guy running the show..

Dont think you should be blaming CCP for this tbh. Its a faulty router that happens to be on our road to the EVE servers. Yes they might have changed our road to it with the last upgrades, but you can't just change that back or something.
I'm posting here to make the problem clear and try to get someone from CCP contact the owner of that faulty router. I think a CCP admins complaint would carry more weight than mine as a standard internet consumer, that's all.

That's what we say Mr. Lynx ;-) At least, most of us. There's always people swearing at CCP for whatever reason of course...
And although its not CCP's fault or doing, it is a problem of CCP... because of this problem it is almost impossible to do missions, complexes or even fly out of high-sec, because your connection can drop every moment.
The positive thing is, for pvp pilots, the other pilots connection might go down at the same moment :p

problem is that the problems started right after the hardware upgrade. Maybe CCP is not the problem but I think there is a link :)

Sure there is a link! See what CCP told in their news release:
Upgrades include adding IBM LS-21 AMD Opteron blades, solid-state RAMSAN disks, adding network providers and general maintenance.
It might be better to cancel those added network providers..

Edited by: Endo Dy on 13/11/2006 16:37:57 Maybe its just me, but i figure many more players' EVE-connection wil go through London. Wouldn't there be a lot more players getting this problem than?
Just an update from my side: ive pretty much checked all possible adware, spy software and viruses. So far nothing. Ofcourse ive already done a EVE Client reinstall. I am considering a full PC reinstall (had to do it anyhow, PC always gets loaded with 2 much junk ). Maybe this helps.
One other thing ; since most connection losses appear to happen at the same time, it is not unthinkable that all those players have a simular program running on their PC, wich might see EVE online as a threat, and kill its connection. Scan times of f.e. firewalls and virusscanners have the same default scanning interval. This could also explain the connection losses?
Well i stepping in my pilot seat again. Maybe i just have sit down one time tonight, and not 13 times......

dude it would be nearly impossible that all people with planet internet have the same programs installed that disconnect eve.
I have been playing this game 3 years now and in the last half year I haven't installed any new programs, why would eve be all the sudden blocked by a program when nothing changed only on ccp side.
it's a routing problem and the problem can't be solved by planet internet(kpn), CCP needs to take action from there side.

This is really starting to **** me off. No response from customer support since the autoreply I got two days ago. CCP have changed their connections to the internet along with the hardware upgrade. Looks like they choose Sprint to provide one of those connections. This connection clearly isn't up to the challenge. Tell Sprint to fix the **** problem or dump Sprint as a provider. How fricking hard can this be? Theres ample proof that this is NOT a client side problem. All the Pingplotter graphs point to one router from Sprint (213.206.131.46). Cmon CCP get you act together and fix this or you will **** off all of your dutch customers!

Although an official response would still b very welcome, there seems to be some improvement going on.
I don't know if it's the same for the rest, but the disconnects have been replaced by lagspikes for me. (it kinda looks like the connection has been loosened up on time-outs)
If this is a patchwork solution: it is much appreciated as it helps holding on to gangs and drones.
Of course if there is a more permanent solution I believe the folks in this thread (yours truely included) would be very grateful for any intel and/or solutions provided by you. .
