Good afternoon gentlefolk of EVE. Moira will be hosting the a W-space T1 Cruiser Tournament, April 23rd. What makes it a w-space tournament, you ask? Because it's being held in w-space. No sec hits, can-swaps, or other crap.
Interested? The rules are simple.
Entrants must be in a team of two. You and your partner must both provide the ten million isk entry fee to be registered, and be allowed to participate. And only one team per alliance/major organization, please. There may be other tournaments in the future, depending on how successful this one is.
The main round of combat will be a two-man, last team standing brawl. Initial engagement will occur around an anchored container arena.
All participants must be within 50km of the container before the match begins. Once combat begins, if any team members leaving 200km of that canister will have their team disqualified. Any pilot warping out of the arena in a cruiser, will also have their team disqualified. This continues until the last ship or pair of ships is left (mostly) intact.
Standard t1 cruisers only. No Faction, Pirate, Limited-issue, t2, mining barges, industrials, or what-have-you, please.
Any t1 cruiser can be selected. There is no penalty for selecting certain cruisers over others.
T1, meta 1-4, and t2 modules only. T1 rigs only. Should go without saying, but no cloaks.
You are free to use whatever implants you wish. But poddings are legal. Only risk what you're willing to lose.
Rewards will be announced here, as sponsorships and donations are provided. As of now, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams will receive 2/3rd, 2/9th, and 1/9th of the isk pot made from the entry fees.
When the list of participants is finalized, a week before the tournament takes place each team will receive additional information, and access to the tournament channel.
To publicly discuss the tournament, join WormholeTournament
To register, evemail Julianus Soter indicating who you will be flying with, and I will reply if you are eligible. Upon confirmation, transfer the isk to me. ISK that isn't received by 23:59, evetime, of the previous Saturday will be result in those teams being removed from the roster.
Participants late to the party, and try to register after that deadline, must do so at double the fee, 20 million isk per pilot. Isk of any other quantity I get to keep. Very Happy
Thanks, and hope to see you there!
