Hello guys. First off, I love EVE, and I'm not going anywhere, but recently i decided to resign as a CEO from my corp, which is in a NulSec alliance, as well as leave the alliance. Having a great deal of things to do regarding the alliance, I never really stopped to think what else New Eden has to offer. I Fleetcommanded a lot for the alliance, as well as deal with a lot of internal and external affairs. Doing all of that took up a fair bit of my time. Now that's gone, I seriously don't know which way to go. I have many ideas of what I could do. Some being very far fetched, others being quite good ideas. I've tried a lot of things in the game, and I've lived in HS, LS, NS and WH space. I don't know which way to go from here, as it kind of feels like I'm a newbro again. I'm looking for suggestions on how I can go from here. What should I do? Where should I go? All suggestions and ideas would be kindly appreciated. Thanks for reading, fly safe o7 |

There's so much to try it's quite boggling. But I've been in a similar situation after folding a corp, so for what it's worth...
- Use your ingame channels to chat with people. If you aren't in any, ask for some either ingame or here with a mix of playstyles
- There is nothing wrong with taking a break to passively monitor the groups you are interested in before making a decision, and even then it doesn't have to be permenant. Do your homework. If it doesn't suit, move on.
- Try get extended trials (with blue status) to fly with a group and see if you like it
- Don't be too concerned about making a public app on a forum and sending in your API key to recruiters (and if you want to keep some alts hidden start hiding them, now). Only the shittiest alliances troll recruits (which you can tell from previous apps) and recruiters are really only interested in eliminating you as a spai or seeing whether you are a rager, not checking to see your underwear size.
- If you have enough alts to trial a few different things, go for it
- Look up the public fleets that are run like Spectre so you can join from anywhere for a bit of fun
- Even vets can join newbean corps/alliances - RVB, E-Uni, Brave newbies, karmafleet, dreddit, pandemic horde - although you might need to register on reddit and be active to apply to some. I would recommend registering on reddit and monitoring the topics there if you haven't already.
- Signal Cartel look really strong at the moment as a neutral group with a strong social memberbase and I'm sure there are others with a similar ethos
- I'd avoid the ingame recruitment channel, but posting using an alt in the recruitment forum may get you chatting to some people
- Tell people your situation. They might try pressure you to join them, or they might be able to direct you towards groups you will enjoy playing with.
- It is very hard to change gears from a CEO back to a grunt, but it is worth it in a lot of ways. Don't get dragged back into corp/alliance leadership too quickly if you need a break. It's worth avoiding very new corps and alliances for this reason as it's way too easy to start assuming a lead role, but bear in mind all of the baggage that goes with that.
If I can help, drop me a mail.
Good luck

Take a break, vacation. Just forget about it for a while.
3 month at least after the things will sort out in your head you may return with fresh look and new ideas. |

Does it irritate anyone else that you now have to click four times to view someone's corp history, starting from a thread? |

Huh? Don't you get there too by clicking once on the corp name in their author box next to the post or do you mean something different? |
