If i am not going to go for a carrier is it worth training this skill to lvl 5 ( need 5 for adv.drone interfacing)
i want my drones to be really tough but am thinking for the 20+ days i could have trained 2 or 3 other drone skills to 5?
reccomendations pls?

adv drone int is for drone control units on the carrier and fighters also needs drone int5 finished, so yes you need it

no what i was saying is that i am not training for a carrier, i just want to up my drone skills for use on my ishtar.
was wondering if i should train drone interfacing to lvl 5 to gain an extra 20% drone damage (20+ days), or just train up other drone skills to lvl 5 and ignore the biggy for now?

Actually it's not a 20% damage boost but an 11% damage boost, since you do not go from 100->120% damage, but from 180->200% damage.
If it's worth or not worth to train it depends what your other drone skills are & which drones you are using.
For small-med drones the only skill I would get to 5 before DI would be scout drone interfacing (and "drones" of cource, but you need it there to train DI anyway), *maybe* drone navigation, too. Combat drone spec 5 is not worth it before, DI 5 gives you a bigger boost per SP and works for all drones, too.
For heavy drones heavy drone int 5 gives you (with t2 heavies and the boost from the lvl 4->5 skill) 25% more dps, so it is probably an better idea to train that first there. Invovles a higher money investment with t2 drones, though, and only helps you with heavy drones.

well i will am using Hammerhead T2's. i dont really plan on using heavies tbh.
i already have drones 5, scout drones 5, drone nav, sharpshooting and duarability to 3 and gall drone spec to 4.
was wondering if it was more worthwhile getting any of the 5 day lvl 5 skills to 5 before DI?

If you are gonna use an ishtar then get heavy drone to 5 so you can use t2 heavies, then go DI 5 imo.

Ishtar has a large drone bay and can support multiple sets of heavies (and mediums if you'd like). T2 larges do alot more damage than the T2 mediums, and I mean whole lot... as for the original question it's a very nice skill to have, especially fi you are planning to fly a drone ship ----------------------------------------- Your ad could be here :) |

Yes you need it. Sure it's expensive but it's the best drone skill you can get. The other skills give you 2-5% bonuses per level, this gives 20%.

lol, try an indy pilot turning to pvp.
the only reason i have not trained for t2 heavies is because i thought they may be too slow for pvp, also i couldnt fit them on my barges
