A place I just started working at is opening a "gaming arena" of sorts in the next couple of weeks. Lots of high end PCs, consoles, etc... pay by the hour to play on the rigs. I won't go into detail about the location and all, 'cause this isn't meant as a sales pitch/advertisement.
The point of the matter... What are the rules, and who would I have to get in touch with if we wanted to offer Eve Online as one of the PC games? (I'm a big fan, and I wager having someone around who knows the game well as yer running through the tutorial would be quite helpful.)
I figure we'd need to be able to generate trial accounts in short order (heck, I could just use the buddy program I guess.), and it would be nice to be able to offer game timecards.
Thanks in advance

ok MMORPG o just MMO is a gray area when it comes to online gaming centres *i used to run one and am in the process of opening my own*
In the EULA there is nothing stopping you from having the clients installed on as many pc's as you want.. however it is stated your not allowed to make profit from it.. to get around this the users MUST! have their own account pay'd for by themself or somone not involved in the centre..
You arn't allowed to have multiple accounts and charge people to use them without permission of the company that own the game. Although it hasn't stopped other Online gaming centre's from doing it in the past. Hope this is helpfull... If you feel i can help you in any other way let me know via eve mail to oshid

Why yes I had, but contacting the correct person can make things go a lot smother, that's why I'm posting here rather than just spamming the Devs. Also, if it's already been stated somewhere, I don't have to waste their time, do I? On top of those well thought out reasons, this offers others a chance to see the answer(s) as well. Guess I thought this all through, eh?
Thanks go out to those that took the time to post constructive information...
To those mentioning each user having his or her own paying account. I'd assumed it was this simple, but I'd rather not find out the hard way. I like to do things correctly from the start. Hopefully an "official" word will work it's way into this thread while I dig around some more.
Thanks again for the helpful information, any other useful input is welcome... trolls, not so much.

I would imagine CCP having very few objections with you encouraging people on-masse to try EVE, open accounts, and play in the same room as other EVE playing strangers. It's basically you selling their game for them
Good luck with it though, I wish there were cyber cafe's pushing EVE around where I am........ -----------------------------------------------

Here in Greece most of the computers of net cafe chains have EvE available for play, like they do for many other games.
The thing is though that the charge is for leasing as it can be seen in the receipt, as the customers may have free access to EvE, but they are paying for the machines and the Internet connection _______

The only time cybercafes usually get in trouble with games companies is when people have to pay to play the games (i.e. making money from a CS tournement). Allowing people to play games for nothing (besides the standard internet charge of course) won't usually land you in any hot water.
Please note the word usually :P
