I'm a relatively new player and I am hellbent on exploring the trader occupation. I'm working up my skills in this area right now, and I was looking to see if anyone was in need of basic (possibly repeditive) moving services. A contact with a constant need of delivery would be nice. I'll do anything that you don't want to. Post here or Evemail me if you have opportunities or if you have any questions. I'm reliable, dependable and punctual and currently looking for a corp that can readily supply me with work.
Thanks again in advance, Vix3n

One reason why its harder for newer players to get delivery work is because of collateral issues: often the stuff to be moved is expensive. Can you post the maximum collateral value which you can afford so that we can know the maximum value of what we can ask you to haul?
I may have work for you.

you'll need to get yourself a T2 hauler as soon as possible.
Work on your ISK reserve - if any big corp asks you to shift something it'll be worth XXm+ isk, rather than XXk isk. Work out what you're after - mass volume (freighter), max speed, or max safety. think outside the box too - hauling in a hulk can make sense!
You say you'll do anything we don't want to - does that include taking a freighter full of POS fuel into a dead end 0.0/lowsec system? What are your rates per jump?

I appreciate your advice. I know what I'm working towards, and I know what I need to get myself as soon as possible and I know that I need a larger cash reserve. Lol. But I cant just wait for all of that to fall into my lap. I've got to work for it and that's what I'm trying to do here by advertising basic hauling. And right now, I am working on two jobs offered through this post. 1) Running around and picking up escrowed implants all over different regions and delivering them to one station. And 2) refilling a POS with fuel once weekly. Am I using a freighter to refill the POS? No. I'm using an Iteron. Who WOULD fly a freigher to dead end 0.0 space solo? Someone who doesn't mind losing 1 billion ISK of course. (And as for my ISK reserve, I didnt post how big my wallet is, I just posted what I am willing to lose in collateral.)
Obviously I have a lot that I need to work on, and obviously I'm working on it. I'm just offering a lending hand to anyone who doesnt want to do repetative work and is willing to contract that out to someone who isnt as affluent as them.
If you have job opportunities, let me know!
Thanks for the feedback, Vix.

Edited by: mechtech on 17/11/2006 03:14:21 Vix3n is doing a great job for me already, and she's only been on the job for a few hours! All she is asking for is for you to send a business proposal. And btw, not everyone can fly tech2 haulers out of the box like you could .
Anyway, Vix3n's service is highly recommended, she is handling 300 mil worth of items currently and is doing a great job.

Vix3n, would you be interested in teaming up with other new haulers (ie. me!) to maybe extend possible coverage, workload and collateral? I'm not exactly rolling in it, but I'd be happy to put up 6mil in collateral towards jobs - and as my wallet grows, which seems to be getting quicker, I can commit more. Also, I'd dedicate my super-Badger II (around 10000m3) towards bigger deliveries and my Condor towards those time-sensitive operations.
Maybe someone like Proton could help out with some venture capital, or it could just be a 'gentleman's' agreement. Either way, feel free to hit me up here or in game : )

I would be interested. I won't be able to join any kind of corp though, so I hope that is not necessary. I'm currently in Proton's corp to refill the POS. Evemail me the details.

I have toyed with the idea a bit, biggest problem I see in the growth of such a company, is trust. So then you get into collateral and then you get into staggering amounts of isk tied up not making more isk.
Now I hope that when contracts is fully implemented this may help reduced some of the bonding that needs to occur. We will see. --

well as you say the problem with such an endeavor is isk is needed to make isk... that's the purpose of an IPO, but anyways with contracts it's easier and safer, less expensive also i supose

Trust is always the hold-back in everything in this game. What if some sort of temp-agency was setup? The trust of the individual haulers must be gained by the CEO of 'We-Haul' Then the respectable and dependable CEO of that corp would delegate hauling jobs that came to him from other corporations. And obviously, you would give your more valuable assignements to your corp-mates that have a larger foundation of trust than others. I'd like to see it happen, and I'd like to be a part of it.
Or.. we could just... wait for contracts. Lol

So many possibilities.. it's times like this that "real" work gets in the way : ) I'm only 3 weeks old in Eve terms, but all the industrial muscle that goes on behind the scenes is what's really interesting me - and with over 5000(?) systems, hauling has got to be a logistical issue that people wouldn't mind a hand with.
Anyway, sorry for hijacking your thread Vix3n, I'll be in touch later : )

Not at all [Reverend] Horton Heat, I like where the topic went. It gave me some ideas for the future. Especially when Kali comes out with contracts.
For the sake of the topic though, I am still open to more job opportunites!

I've eve-mailed both the potential haulers, but I thought I'd add a note here.
I think low-sec really is going to be split into two classes.
There's important things, that demands blockade runners (for big things) or stealths (for small things) or VERY well escorted freighters (moving your whole corp) or carriers (POS fuel).
Then there's less expensive higher volume runs (components, cruisers, some minerals (Pyer, Mex and Trit) and such. The volumes are higher, the profits are lower, but you simply don't want to risk a freighter or a T2 hauler or god forbid your implants for such low-profit or low-importance work.
And I think this is where newbie-hauling (for lack of a better term) can play a role.
I have 30 million isk I'd be more than happy to pay to get 300 km3 from various places in low-sec to various other places.
1m a run is not a lot of money, given the potential profit levels, and the collatoral isn't necesarily HUGE...
But it does mean that if you can fly an Itty 3/4 or a Badger II, and the customer already has instas of the shipping routes, then the newbies can make pretty good money, experience the highs and lows of low-sec before they have the constant stress of losing implants to pirates, and if pirates take out one load out of twenty, then you've lost a <1m ship and possibly 10m isk of cargo.
The pilot and indy and cargo are all essentially disposable.
I could certainly take that hit (and I have already once on this 800k m3 operation), because the profit margins are higher.
And a newbie hauler can make 5m-10m isk a day, which is quite a bit at that level. They won't do it forever, because they will eventually move on to bigger and better things, but it's ****ed good money for a few months there.

I need something done. Last friday I added a ton of missions all to be deliver in Yashunen V - moon 1 - Sukuuvestaa corp. I'm afraid I set the pay to low as not enough are getting completed. To you Vixen and to your friend who contacted me ingame I ask you to complete those missions for me pls. I'm willing to pay you and you friend an additional 5 mill pay, 2,5 mill each. I think that seems reasonable, since most don't need a hauler for collecting them.
Let me know ingame if you agree pls. TY.
