Hi,
I have read concerns about the skill point system from both player and CCP. CCP where even thinking of having high skil point characters available for one time use.
Players can already buy each other characters, so if you actually want a 100M skill point char you can just go and buy one. For obvious reasons though this is pretty expensive. Also some people wants to name/design their own chars.
How about letting players sell skill points?
It could work like this, if a player want he can pay a GÇ£transfer feeGÇ¥ and GÇ£biomassGÇ¥ his char. In return he gets a one time use device with the same (or maybe slightly less) skill points that can be consumed by any other char. The GÇ£consumptionGÇ¥ should probably also be constraint by a GÇ£transfer feeGÇ¥
So if someone GÇ£needsGÇ¥ 100M skill points he can buy it in small increments based on how much ISK he can afford to spend at the time.

This would encourage people to enable all the other 2 training slots so they can biomass their 2 worthless alts and bam...millions of sp and pass many older characters that have been training for years.
I vote no, since transfer fees can also be paid for in plex these days.
BTW this isn't just against you, ive been through many times of ccp changing the sp from high speed training to starting out around 800k, and ive seen numberous ideas post for sp changes.
In my day you started with a rookie ship and 50k sp with no speed training and you didn't have a clue what to do even after taking the training missions which were a lot less.

Why didn't you just say "wants"?
Anyways, it's not a horrible idea... it isn't much different than buying and selling characters, except this gets even closer to Pay2Win, or rather in EVE's case, Pay2Advance (since all the SP in the world won't make you "win").
Yes you can already pay real money for plex, sell plex for ISK, and buy a high SP character with ISK. Essentially paying to advance.
But with these small increments, it will just make it more common, easier, and every player with ISK would start bumping their SP all the time, because why not?
So -1 from me.

Oh look, I have several alts that I never use anymore, each between 15-20m SP. Since it's nothing for me to earn several billion isk a month, your "transfer fee" is nothing but an irritation for me to consolidate all that SP into my currently used alts, instantly giving me a couple of new super or titan pilots. Welcome to a thing we call Malcanis' Law.
1. At no time in this game do you "need" 100m SP. That level of SP is something you earn over time, or buy a character that has it at a high price if you "want" it. You never "need" that much SP to do anything. 2. Even if you do convince yourself that you somehow "need" that much SP. If you can't afford to buy a character that has that much SP, then you definitely can't afford to buy the gear to use that SP. 3. Ask any newbie who's thought that EvE would be like every other MMO, and let them buy the best gear with their credit card and win the game, how that experience goes. Even if you pay for the PLEX needed to make enough isk to buy that 100m SP character and the gear to use that SP, if you don't have the knowledge to use it, you're simply going to lose the gear you bought.
EvE is hard. It's harder if you're stupid.
I couldn't have said it better.
Will troll for a t-shirt.
