Hi!
tl;dr: So lets say you had a laptop and planned to install X3. BUT, you didn't have room nor time to install every single version of X3. Between X3:TC vs. X3:AP which would you install and why??
I'm leaning more towards TC (have done most of the stories), but I've played that lots and lots while AP not very much. I like the whole instant combat action of AP, but TC has some nice nice scripts that don't seem to be/work in AP, primarily with some CLS/CAG (MK2/MK3) agent options I think it was; e.g. factories were easier to manage via AI etc. Few other little differences I don't recall at the moment not being so use to AP. But I could go either way, however it's mostly meant to run off to the side while I do stuff on my desktop pc such as hurry up and wait sort of stuff.
which/why <---------->
edit: oh wait maybe that goes here: tl;dr: bye |

Yeah that mod is a possibility, and it works for both TC and AP. I've only played them in full vanilla extract goodness thus far, apart from a few extra authorized scripts. I'm open for a mod, possibly. I assume it balances the Springblossom too? That might be a good thing. |

For me mods added substantial amounts of additional play time they are just that good both are improvements.
From frame rate gains and stability to in game stats(ships,races) advanced scripts and much more
I think Rebalanced is more flashed out and is based on known universe with some additions like terran economy and terran starts.
X-Tended is completely new universe with gates opening to even more of it as you progress thru game.
So basically if you want that x3 feel on steroids go for R leave X-T for some other time. |

I didn't modded AP, but all in all I felt like TC with X-Tended mod was a better game. Any of them is ages ahead of Stillbirth.
73% of EVE characters stay in high security space. 62% of EVE subscribers barely PvP. 40% of all new accounts just "level up their Ravens". Probably that's why PvE content in EVE Online is sub-par and CCP is head over heels for PvP...

Take X3:AP, it has a very nice community extension and some fun ships/weapons. I played both, first TC and then AP to get the complete story.
... after that I discovered EvE and never looked back
I'm my own NPC alt.
