yes no yes
(brain damage rather appeals to me)
it is better to not know that the operation messed you up then just not being able to walk and know that you chose it =D

Hell yes, yes, yes, obviously. A 1 in 1000 chance is like 50 times lower than the odds of being hit and killed by a car, so I really don't give a crap.
One step closer to Cyberbrains, which would simply kick ass. Then I could do awesome stuff like drive and play EVE at the same time, or convo people from work without anyone else knowing!
And I could delete memories I didn't like

As long as the implants aren't programmed by microsoft im happy enough. Last thing I need is the ole grey matter having the equivalent of the blue screen of death.
I have the body of a supermodel. I just can't remember where I left it.

No, No, Yes - although if A and B had less / no risk then I'd go for the direct neural implant. Cyberware FTW!

Edited by: Plutoinum on 20/11/2006 15:40:27 If the risk to damage your brain was (almost) zero, I'd do it of course. I'd especially like some memory enhancement and an interface to suck up information from a computer/the internet. I think reading is too slow / not time effient enough. Attribute enhancers to increase learning speed would be nice, too.
I think the evolution of our brains can't keep up with the speed that mankind obtain new knowledge and it will become more and more a handicap. The fraction that everyone of us can learn in his life is getting smaller and smaller compared to the whole knowledge that mankind has obtained. If implants could solve that, it would be great. I'd do such an OP, if it was safe.
cdt/con-loss vs. regular log-out. A proposal ...

Yes across the board. I think if you answer yes to the first one, the second and third are a given...
I mean really... I might get brain damage but that's ok. But NOOOOOO on the third option cause... what? Might get a rash?

triple yes for me. Cybernetics is the next logical step for human evolution. Augment the organic parts with synthetic parts that can do it better.
And yes, We are Borg. Lower your shields and power down your weapons. Your technological and cultural distinctiveness will be added to our own. Resistance is futile.
no seriously, later on people will need such implantation to keep up with the demands of a quickly speeding up lifestyle.

Tsk, tsk, Shikari! Not first? You're slipping ;)
Also, yes, no, yes, because I can drive just fine right now, but I WOULD like to be able to kick more ass. WTB Akido implant, Gunslinger implant, and Enhanced Reflexed implant plz.
(By the by, I would also accept nanite-driven awesomeness, a la Deus Ex) ----------------------------

Edited by: Benco97 on 20/11/2006 18:39:09 The implant I would most want would be.... Replace my left arm with a big Drill (I realise that isn't what this thread is actually talking about) Yeah, that would rock. I want to be some sort of industrial machinery ^^ If I had a little scoop and bucket I could mine!
*Edit* also, those cyber bodies are too opverpowered, I would want to be one of those "Jameson body" (is that right?) I could have addons and plugins ^^
