#nopoors I don't think people are arguing about the price of subscription because it takes too much of their monthly income.
The argument: Is it fair that Norway has to pay extra?

Is it fair that Russians get monthly subscription so cheap compared to EU/USA?
I live in Finland and they just over the border, but I don-¦t feel violated anyway because I had to pay more.
So Norway, now it-¦s same with you and EU (including your dear neighbour Finland). |

In norway everything is more expensive. Except internets. And the northern lights. Why last time i was there, my parking ticket was over 200 Norway Isks...
In other news Austrialians pay heaps more than other places for games. Steam charges different prices depending where you are. Video rentals are different in my country... etc.
I currently live in Switzerland. EVERYTHING except eve costs more. Just going to a movie cost 1.5 plex. A beer is about 0.8 plex.
And no a private company does not need to show you anything about why the price went up.

Also, I would be completely fine with changing to EUR (Hasn't the usual excuse from CCP for demanding the same price in USD and EUR despite exchange rate difference in the past been VAT btw?), but both changit it AND demanding we pay more than anyone else is just a big middle finger tbh.

I would first have to belive you when you say I have any kind of poster skill but at the end of the day, you will either pay up and keep playing or shut up and leave.
Well you can also grind ISK to get PLEX and keep playing. That is technically the best option as CCP keeps your sub and you don't pay the new charges. |

get it into youre f*****g head it is not about if its 4 euros or 50 euros its about CCP lying to their customers or refusal of providing documentationg on their VAT claims and yeah if it turns out that CCP is lying then yes i will unsub the rest of my accounts as i dont want to feed them with my mony if they lie to me |

Either you belive them or you unsub. I'm pretty sure they won't share their financial ploicies and agreement with various government over taxes and other regulation. For all I know, Canada could be next to be hit and theyre is **** all I could do about it except, as I suggested, pay up, grind or leave.
You expect a privately held company to share their VAT claims numbers with you?
I'm still waiting on those lotto numbers so I can pay the fine poster from earlier in the thread his well deserved prize of PLEXes...

It is clearly documented here (section 4.3), that "The supply of digital products, such as music or software via the Internet, is regarded as the supply of a service."
Maybe this just changed maybe it didn't, the fact of the matter is you do need to pay VAT and CCP had not been previously charging you VAT, someone either demanded it from them, or the lawyers noticed this oversight and made a change to policy to protect the company.

It does not count subscriptions, but 33% drop at online averages in 6 months, just as an example, give some hint about those too.
Remember, it were actually much higher than 35K 6 months ago, as dropping numbers from recent months have dragged also last 6 months number down. |

Not if there has been changes in those 6 months that would change how many accounts the average player has running at a given time. Things like outlawing broadcasting software that simplifies the use of large alt fleets, reducing the viability of alt-required mechanics, and going on a couple of banning sprees.
it gives a hint that fewer accounts are online. It doesn't really give any hint as to the reasons why.

Anyway, hink it still hints CCP gets less money from subscrptions. Think that-¦s the point behind all of this, that we dont say out loud. |

Im referring to the RATE as in the money we are paying CCP... how long has it been $15 a month?
yeah, from the beginning. so unless CCP's maintenance and operation cost didn't change for the past 10 yrs, subscription rate should have increased together with other products/commodities.
so QQing about a SMALL increase is seems silly to me....

Ah ok.
And well, I guess CCP uses that 15 dollar/euro amount as a basic value that they then base other currencies (obviously according to their purchasing power). |
