Currently, when trying to log onto Sisi with my main character, it takes around 10 minutes of "Entering Game as". I tried making a Logserver log of what was going on here, but it turned out to be about 30MB when it was actually done. There was nearly 800 lines in the Logserver file that said something to the effect of "waiting for session change".
Now, when I log in with an alt. I can get in very quickly.
This leads me to believe that the problem lies with my People and Places folder, which I can "open", but nothing is displayed in the tabs, regardless of how long I wait. An alt I have with a few BMs can log in, and can open the PnP to see the BMs. My main, upwards of 15,000 BMs, cannot.
I have tried doing a fresh install of the client by downloading the full client from the EVE site. I have tried copying my Tranq. folder and using that.
I cannot open and view the BMs I have with my Sisi test account. ---

15k BM's .. we shall now call you Mr 40%
this could be the reson yes, are tehy all in folders or just flat - if flat that could be more of a reason.
I would suggest trying again and just leavining it for a long time - while not spamming your link - it may get there in the end - and then delete them all if you get a chance.

They're all in folders, I'm a neat freak.
I've tried that before, but it just sits there.
It'd be great to see if this actually changes anything so that I can delete my BMs on Tranq. before this happens to me ---

Hehe, same here. On both my "mains".
More than 15k bookmarks (folders doesn't matter) and they can't log in within 15 minutes. Once in, I can't access people and places > places tab to REMOVE bookmarks, so I can't fix the problem. Any other character is fine. Although that doesn't help me very much since it's Ithildin who's going to participate in the tourny, and 10 minute log in time is not acceptable in those circumstances.
I really hope to whatever deity that CCP doesn't let this go to TQ and that it's only a Sisi thing. - EVE is sick. |

Well, at least it's not an isolated problem, I guess.
But after the last major patch, I remember that all the BM folders were deleted, which is what's prolly happening.
Yeah, I can't load the PnP and all. I sit there letting it load, and eventually it just "gives up" and lets me open and close the PnP at will. Can't even load Buddies etc. ---

Anything new on this?
A bug hunter or dev response would be swell, 'cause if this makes it onto TQ we're looking at quite a few characters who are PERMANENTLY bugged to a point where it's almost unplayable. - EVE is sick. |

There was a dev comment in one of the interviews that with warp to 0 they will remove all bookmarks within 40 km of a celestial opbject. This should solve your problem once and for all.

Yes. Unless they've already implemented something like it, but it sort of failed. All it's done is make my bookmarks inert.
Right now, I'm really hoping this is a SiSi issue, you know the client trying to get my bookmarks but SiSi haven't got them on server. If it's not...
In either case, it's already making a serious dent in my tourny training. - EVE is sick. |

You kind of brought it on yourself with excessive collection of BMs...
I would advise killing all unnecessary BMs on your Singularity accounts now, 4 days before the patch, just in case the SQL script they need to run on Singularity while kali1 patching fails to delete your BMs _________________________________________

Yes, it's our fault for using a game mechanic for an advantage and buying "too many" BMs, when there is no limit, and has never been a problem before now.
I'm not going to delete my TQ BMs because if they flip-flop, as they might do, and decide not to do it (think back to the Tractor Beam I price increase)... ---

Haven't had any problems logging on to sisi and have upwards of 35k bookmarks. Haven't tried opening the folder, but all bookmarks near gates have defntly been removed as I see nothing on the right click menu. Not sure about safespots as I think I've only had gate-to-gate for the systems where I've checked.

Dude, not that I have any compassion to an uncaring person like you, lagging everyone around with, and making the game unplayable on some many levels with your 11k of BMs, but rest assure you pain will be relieved since THEY WILL delete any BM 40k or closer to any celestial object on the day when Revelations get patched.
So stop complaining since YOU ARE CURRENTLY adding to test server lag and making my experience there so less pleasant. _________________________________________

it may have to do with changes to the bookmarks themselves. But with warp to 0 now almost assured it would be a safe bet to delted all of you gate to gate bookmarks the night before patchday. Worth a shot anyhow. ----

Wow, you're a 'tard.
Yes, my 15,000 instas create a "sphere-of-lagtacularity" that lags everyone within a 1AU radius of me.
AFAIK they haven't officially said what they're going to do with BMs yet, even with the Warp-To-0 feature. If you have proof as to what they're doing, post it, otherwise, don't post about things you have no clue about.

I am sure that is on the mind of everyone right now. I do plan on unloading my bms. Into a can for safe keeping. I'll trust that CCP is going to do WTZ but I'll cover my hind end in case they change their mind.
I think the problem you are having though, specifically to you, is that your bookmarks are most likely not in folders. Folders, that sort things out and keep massive lag from happening, are a local cache setting. The only way you can have your folders working on a revelations client is:
A - You've let it patch over your TQ main client. (Not smart.)
B - You made a complete copy of your settings folders and it registered. (Did not work for me btw!)
So you are simply suffering from too many bookmarks. I only have 350 total in my P&P at any one time. I might have 1K in a can. I know what the lag is like when my folders get blown out... yours is probably so massive and so bad on that one toon that by time you have it loaded you are logged off from inactivity on Sisi.
Protagonist must have an Antagonist. Otherwise he's just a guy playing with himself.
