IM probably missing something really obvious , but hey it Eve. I have 3 lvl 4 R and D agents 2 doing caldari starship and 1 doing rocket science. Both of the caldari starship guys generate 240+ points per day, the rocket science guy only 70 odd. Looking at the agent info i can see a 3x bonus for the starship ones. Where does this come from and how do i get A) the same bonus for the rocket science and B) higher bonus for all of them.
Any help gratefully recieved.

certain research fields were given a bonus multiplier to make up for the reduced number of Blueprints available in that field. It's a fixed number depending on the field, and can't be changed

From devs of course.

You can't. RP/day is doubled for weapon-related research fields and trippled for starship engineering research.

B) higher bonus for all of them.
Formula: RP/day = (Agent skill level + player skill level)¦ x [(Agent's effective quality/100)+1]
Plus you get aditional RPs if you complete miossion for R&D agent.

Can someone explain the reasoning behind this, I simply cant see it. Lets say you ahve 5 research points, and all researchers together have 100 points. This gives you a 5 in 100(or 1 in 20) chance of winning right? Now cause of the low amount of BPO everybody gets double points, so instead of 5 poitns you ahve 10. Total number of points is also doubled to 200. So now you ahve a 10 in 200 chance of winning, wich is still 1 in 20?
guess I am missing something?

As far as I know, you are correct. However, with the new Revalations expansion, the lottery is being done away with entirely, and your RP can now be used to purchase Datacores, which are used in Invention. Don't ask me how that works though, last time I tried to understand it my eyes bled.

I don't believe the lottery is being done away with yet. T2 BPOs will still be awarded through the lottery, while datacores can also be bought with RP from your agent.
On one hand, if you want to drop an agent so you can take on a better one, then it doens't mean that you'll lose all the RP you had already built up, you can cash them in for Datacores.
On the other hand, if you have 100,000 RP in Startship engineering, you have a choice, start getting datacores so you can invent... but this will reduce you chances of winning a BPO, or you keep your RP to improve your lottery chances, but you miss out on all the profits of invention.
