So, something i've always wanted, was damage bleed to put a cap on logistics ships effectiveness. Tactical shield manip used to imply that at under 25% shields damage starts to bleed into armor. It was always a very small amount of dmg and frankly if you're under 25% shields armors gonna be dropping pretty quickly soon enough.
I'd like to apply that concept to every thing.
Some small percent of dmg your shields take is instead applied to armor. Some small amount of armor is then applied to hull, and from hull straight into your systems (Guns MWD/s Points)
After being pounded on for 30 min by an entire enemy fleet the local triage carrier may be ensuring you still have a ship in space, and you may still be able to keep in air thanks to the hull rep bots people have sent you, but you're guns have melted off your points irreparably damaged, and good luck keeping the MWD from ejecting the core into space if you try to flip it on.
Ideally this would prevent fleets from just being able to ignore one another, by upping the attrition factor in logistic heavy fleets.

-1.
Bring enough DPS to break the reps or bring enough EWAR to neutralize the logi. Really simple.

If damage gets through sheilds from the start it means there can be no shield tank without also fitting an armor repper.
As for gun and mod damage, leave that to the individual overheating their guns while they try breaking your tank, otherwise its also mandatory use of nanite paste, and from there you might as well require them to have fuel.
Just to make sure my position is obvious: Unsupported

As i always say whenever this topic comes up... People use logi for more stuff then only PVP and take that into account...
This for instance would make incursions totally unrunable.
And i have never gotten the "logi OP" argument anyways and noone seems to be able to explain to my why what we have now doesnt work... |

Just like having to have the Command Ships on-grid would change the way they were run but not stop them being run. Rather than Scimis and a couple of Basis the Logi wings would start to call for the addition of a couple of Shield Tanked Oneiros as well - Guardians are unlikely in a shield fleet but probably not impossible. Armour Incursion fleets would likely fall further from favour because of the lack of hull rep range bonuses but I'm sure set-ups would change to compensate and hull could be repped while everyone's massed on gates or something... |
