Currently i use a Logitech m705 laser mouse when playing eve, i also play eve on a wireless connection when i use my laptop and i sometimes wonder if this is putting me at a disadvantage with delay? firstly i must say i do not appear to suffer from any lag during the game nor do my mouse clicks or movements seem slow to respond, hence my question does anyone use a wireless mouse if so is this preference or other? if you use a wired mouse would you mind sharing make and model
thanks

WLAN tends to add a bit lag which shouldn't matter. Proud owner of an 11 or 12 year old MX518.

Crucify me now, I'm a fan of the Razer Naga. Having all those buttons right at my thumb makes things easier for me.
It isn't really hard, but I think there are customers that you can lose in a good way and there's customers that you can lose in a bad way. If people come in and fundamentally don't like EVE Online, then I think that might be a good way of losing customers. . -á--CCP Soundwave

For EVE no, it makes no difference to me. Anything works imo. Now for when I play a shooter, I generally used a logitech trackman which is a wired center-trackball. But even for a wireless, the latency is so low that you won't really notice compared to anything wired. I have some wireless mice, little M$ lazor rodents they be, mostly just because they fit into my laptop bag really well. |

I use the Razer Naga also. I like to kick back with my feet on the desk and often play one handed with just the mouse. |

Roccat Savu chosen very deliberately for an Eve fingertip mouse user who clicks 25,000 per day. Extremely comfortable for the heavy amount of clicking I do daily as well as very accurate. |

Deathadder 2013.
Before that I had a blue deathadder. This version had issues with crappy switches causing double clicks after a while. Replace the switches with quality components and it's a good mouse. I just haven't had time to deal with it.
Before that was a microsoft intellimouse 3.0.
I have big hands so a lot of mice don't feel comfortable.
I also am brutal on mice as evidenced in my videos of me boxing 12 accounts. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZ4LByLY5T4
I was a partial clicker in WoW as I'm an oldschool MMO player.

Especially in RO where battlemode required the use of three rows of keys for all the skills. Those games didn't even use WASD as most MMOs back then.
Hell even in Wow that wasn't enough room on the 1-0 key area for my paladin's skills pre-changes. Post changes it kind of got worse in some aspects.
rift? ditto for the builds I used.

+1 for the razor Naga,
The side buttons are ****ing cool I have them set up like so: 1-3 first 3 highs 4-6 first three mids 7-9 first three lows 10 shift 11 drones engage 12 ctrl
The only complaint about this mouse is those buttons get pretty manky if you forget to clean them , which is likely as they're a pain in the arse to clean

Pretty sure, Asheron's Call, Plane Shift and a heap of other games had WASD long before WoW. Quote:WoW has utilized many aspects of all older MMOs, such as Everquest, Asheron's Call, Ultima Online, Dark Age of Camelot, and Final Fantasy XI (a lot from this game). The UI is not new, the quest system is not new, the classes aren't, the physics aren't, the community aspect isn't, and the economy isn't. These are all elements taken by Blizzard, transformed into a Warcraft model, polished extremely well, popularized, and released to the public as a hit. I don't think Blizzard introduced anything in WoW that was uniquely new to the MMO genre. If they have, it's something that isn't foundational, and probably the result of a later patch.

My issue with the mouse was that it felt cheap and small. The buttons were meh and the scroll wheel was sloppy. This was a brand new mouse and I considered that unacceptable.
That's just an opinion of course and opinions do vary wildly at times.

You sound mad brah. Do you actually think you're refuting what I said? All that does is prove what I said earlier about WOW popularizing the WASD control concept for MMOs. Blizzard did introduce new concepts but clearly the quote is from a hater. The thing is though you can make the same argument about everquest, AC and even UO let alone the others listed such as DAoC or FFXi which reused concepts introduced years before. The early MMOs were based off popular concepts used in prior games. One could easily make the argument that there hasn't been a truly new idea in MMOs for over a decade.
"Evercrap" was not my style of game and that came out years after UO and meridian 59. |

Zero issues to date on both input and interference.
They do provide cord extension for receiver but I just kept it plug in back of comp.
Reason it stop being go to mice for both is it can't track well on star citizen ultra wide pad I think surface is to soft and porous for its surface tracking software to deal with. |
