Hello, I have several questions regarding the 'invention' system as it pertains to tech2 items and general manufacture.
As you may or may not know, cloaks are currently tech 1 items that usually retail for tech 2 prices since the BPOs are not sold on the open market. Ok. That's fine. Except - er - you kind of need the tech1 precursor BPCs to make the tech2 item BPCs. (and the issue falters even earlier regarding ops cloak 1s)
So the question is this - what is the plan? Does anyone know? is the status quo going to be maintained, or has it already changed? am I confused or just plain wrong?

why the "TECH 1" blueprint isnt available on the market is really weird though. one would think that the tech 1 prints should be available on market as all other tech 1 blueprints are.

Specific items are seeded without their blueprints being seeded for whatever reason the devs saw fit. They didn't have anymore doublemint at the gas station, who knows.
Cloaks, Strip Miner I's, etc. -----

I understand that, but with expanded cargo 1s being 'upgraded' and seeded, are cloaks following suit?

I propose all proto cloak bpos become t2 cloak BPOs, and they delete prototype cloaks, and simpyl have a T1 cloak.
Also make a T1 cov-ops cloak.

Cloaks are one of those wierd modules that require a T1 module whose BPOs were given out via R&D agent lottery system, much like the T1 Cargo Expanders BPOs. I think they should just do with the Prototype Cloaking Device I what they did with the Cargo Expander I. They turn all Prototype Cloaking Device I BPOs into Improved Cloaking Device IIs and seed the market with Prototype Cloaking Device I BPOs. Not sure why they haven't done that already... seems the most logical solution. *shrug* ---------------
