I'm wondering if the bug reports I sent were read? As in did you fix the Mining Foreman mindlink?
The self 15% bonus and the 50% to mining foreman skill never worked, and my clone on sisi isnt new enought to test it myself.
As Im finishing re-writing my whole guide into a 40 pages PDF, Id like it to be as accurate as possible.
PLEASE, pretty please, tell me it's fixed!

Im well aware the 50% bonus to the foreman links worked (as it is mentionned in my guide) , but the 50% to the mining foreman SKILL NEVER worked, and the SELF 15% bonus never worked either.
This is GREAT news indeed ! Reason I asked is because you silently fix the laser optimization link a while ago by making it a cycle time bonus, so i thought this time I could ask :)
this will be updated in the new version of my guide... I feel like such a geek having written a 40 pages PDF :(

Just tested this. The 15% self-bonus does not work on Singularity. Mining amount is exactly the same on Test Server as on TQ.
Can't speak for the gang bonus as gang bonuses not working atm (presumably need to use new-style gangs).

Giant bold letter.. give me a break would you, there is no need sucking up to them.
Overacting can be humerous, which is what the boldness indicated. I have been submitting bug reports for various aspects of the mining system, this particular item is LONG overdue for a fix (especially when you weight in that it takes 50 days to train to be able to use it... more or less).

I am referring to the bonus the implant is suppose to give as a solo miner... much like implants which enhance the rof of a launcher, or your attributes ! They dont require you to be in a gang !
More clearly...
The Michi Excavation (slot 7) implant reads when doing a show info: Mining Amount Bonus: 5% Result: your yield is enhanced by 5% no matter if you're in a gang or not.
The HX Highwall Mining Implant (slot 10) implant reads when doing a show info: Mining Amount Bonus: 5% Result: your yield is enhanced by 5% no matter if you're in a gang or not.
The Mining Foremand Mindlink (slot 10) implant reads when doing a show info: Mining Amount Bonus: 15% Result: nothing
My point is, aside from the beneficial gang aspects of the mindlink, according to the description, you should get a bonus to your yield... why do the first two implants work, and not this one ?
It's all I want to know.

I'm guessing the Mining mindlink works just the same as the siege warfare mindlink. That says it has a 15% shield capacity bonus. However what that actually means is that the bonus from the siege warfare skill (10% at lvl5 which you need to use the mindlink) is replaced by the 15% bonus from the mindlink.
It is a gang assist mindlink, NOT a mining implant. It works only when you are in a gang (fleet on sisi) and overwrites the Mining Foreman 2% per lvl bonus.
Try it in a Fleet on SISI.

Indeed, they (that is any of the slot 10 GANG BONUS implants) give a 50% increase to the effect of Mining Foreman Link - Drone Coordination and the Mining Foreman Link - Ice Harvesting and the Mining Foreman Link - Laser Optimization
So, as you can see, YOU will need to be in a Battlecruiser/Command ship/carrier/mothership/titan to fit one or more of those and give an effect to the mining fleet (no gang bonuses in Kali, just fleets)

No, there IS a gang assist bonus, as description here says:
Effect: 50% increase to the command bonus of Mining Foreman Link modules. 50% increase to Mining Foreman skill effectiveness.
When going into attributes, it reads: MINING AMOUNT BONUS: 15% MINDLINK BONUS: 50%
Screenshot
We can agree that the MINDLINK BONUS: 50% part is covered in the description, how do we interpret the MINING AMOUNT BONUS: 15% part ?
Looking at another implant (in this case in screenshot the michi implant), which also reads: MINING AMOUNT BONUS: 5%
Is it a coincidence both implant uses MINING AMOUNT BONUS: in their attribute window ? Does it mean the mindlink gives a 15% bonus to all members in gang if in a fleet now ?
If so description should be fixed...

IF this 15% bonus mentionned in attributes IS a gang bonus, then it should not read the same way other mining implants do...
furthermore, why is there no mention of any sort of 15% bonus in description ? The other 50% mentionned in the attributes tab is well explained in the implant's description. For an expansive implant which I took 50+ days to train for, a simple, clean and clear explanation would be appreciated.

Im not here to GET anything, Im trying to understand how the **** thing is supposed to work. How many players started relying more on my guide than I thought they would. It was full of mistake and still people used it as the ultimate truth.
I am finishing the 2nd version of this guide, 40 pages in PDF all hand-written. I want it to be as accurate as possible. My intentions are much more noble than the selfish need to get a 15% solo bonus. (I dont even mine anymore).
Besides, mining and combat are two very different things in this game, how can you compare a mining module with a pvp module? Be realistic.
All I want to kniw is what the god**** MINING AMOUNT BONUS: 15% is suppose to mean and how it works, so I can properly report it in the guide for all to read and comprehend, while eliminating the potential 1000 eve mails I could eventually get asking this question ...

The Siege Warfare Mindlink description says Effect: 50% increase to the command bonus of Siege Warfare Link modules. 50% increase to siege warfare skill effectiveness.
and in the attributes it reads Shield capacity bonus 15% Mindlink bonus 50%
The slot 7 hardwiring "Zainou Gnome KVA2000" also has an attribute that reads Shield Capacity bonus 5%.
Yes its the same terminology - "Shield Capacity bonus" or "Mining Amount Bonus"
BUT as I explained previously, its a gang assist mindlink, thats whole different widget to an implant. The description will say something like "improves a commanders ability by linking all ships in the gang". That kind of implies its only going to work in a gang(fleet).
Confusing descriptions are part of Eve. The item works the way I have described, for the reasons I have described.
And Yes I'd love to get that 15% sheild capacity bonus without being in a gang, but I don't.

So youre saying you got an additional 15% bonus in shield capacity when someone was in gang with that implant ?
So this means in Kali, a squadron commander will give the following bonus to its squadron members: 1) +15% to yield of all 2) Enhance Mining Foreman skill by 50%, which means +15% to yield for all 3) If the squadron commander is in a BC/Command ship with foreman links, their effect will also be enhanced by 50%.
In RMR, only number 3) works, number 1) and 2) do not, even in a gang. If I got it right, please confirm and Ill make the necessary changes.

Originally by: Halada So youre saying you got an additional 15% bonus in shield capacity when someone was in gang with that implant ?
Simply put yes.
As I said that bonus listed on the mindlink replaces the effect of the relevant leadership skill. So for the Siege warfare mindlink that 15% bonus overrules the 2% per lvl bonus that the Siege warfare skill grants (which would be 10% at lvl5). For the Mining Mindlink that 15% bonus overrules the 2% mining yield bonus that the Mining Foreman skill grants.
To use the mindlink you have to have lvl5 in the relevant skill anyway (Mining Foreman). Just think of it as an additional Gang bonus that the Mindlink grants you.
Oh and its the one bonus the mindlink grants you that you do NOT need to be in a battlecruiser with gang modules in order to work.
By this I mean that if I am in a gang everyone in the gang gets the 15% shield capacity boost (or mining yield boost) no matter what ship I'm in.
I think that is probably why that bonus exists, otherwise the mindlinks would be taking up a slot unless the wearer was in a battlecruiser with gang modules.

Did some further testing.
With the mindlinked character installed as squad commander, there is a 15% gang bonus to mining amount - regardless whether the command link module is switched on or not. If the command link is switched on, there is a 15% amount bonus (instead of 10%) and a 23% (or whatever) reduction in cycle time.
Problem I think is that the mindlink description and the mindlink attribute tabs are not consistent.
Other problem is that the bonuses only work if the mindlinked character is assigned as squad commander - they dont't work if wing commander or fleet commander. That's not right AIUI?
Amount bonus also stacks with the HX-2 implant bonus if a gang member has that (so that works). Haven't tested with the Michi.

So to sum up, the "mining amount bonus : 15%" comes from the enhanced bonus given by the foreman skill with the 50% increase to its effect (which normally gives you 10% bonus at lvl5) from the mindlink.
So, if the squadron commander has the mindlink in, the squadron will get: 1) 15% bonus to their yield from the enhanced mining foreman skill (which would normally be 10% without the mindlink) 2) Enhances the mining foreman link module you use by 50% if you're in a BC using a mining foreman link
So the first effect will always be given regardless if you use a mining foreman link or not (of course, since it affects a skill and not the effect of a module), and the 2nd will enhance the effect of a link if you're in a BC or commandship.

That is correct.
