So, I logged in to make some more basic power diag systems and bammo... I noticed that all my basic BPOs were converted to low end tech 1 bpos. Was there a reason for this? To get an idea of the loss, a basic power diag sells for around 500,000 isk and a power diag I sells for around 20,000. Is there any compensation coming?
This isnt right.

All Basic where upgraded to T1 and all T1 BPO where upgraded to T2 for modules where a basic version existed.
The basic version are no longer on the market.
Basicly no there is no compensation. The basics are gone after the last one is blown up...

Guesstimation: DB close to being full. Somebody decided that basic modules are crap under every condition, just like those micro mods. Just let's get rid of them to make space for something new and shiny. Those had been removed from the loot tables long ago ... After we complained that basic modules dropping from cruisers and BS is not logical.
They weren't useless. The heatedly discussed change might have shown the devs that there have been some uses for the below-T1 modules. --*=*=*--

Upgraded? what a load of crap. I made around 10 mil a day on basic power diags alone... As far as "the database is full" bs... what, are they using MS Access or something? There are nowhere near the number of items in this game to even begin to fill a table in a real database. This really blows. We didnt even get any warning.
Basic Power Diags are great because they fit on a Frig where the regular t1 version wont and allow you to fit that fourth gun. They took a BPO worth hundreds of millions and gave me one worth tens of thousands. Might as well logged in and seen my account drained of ISK. would have cost me less in the long run.

MS SQL and they artificially restricted their serversided software to use only positive item handles, basically removing half the available space.
Straightening up the db load is good, you know. As good as removing education in a company because that costs money. (And I know that the comparison doesn't really fit as a sleek db design really helps.) --*=*=*--
