I've been trying to find a decent guide which gives the rewards of each mission, but there is no such thing. Anyone can help?

I'd love to see a more indepth Cosmos Guide - it's an aspect of the game I've never touched to an extent, but would like to try it out :)
However, looks confusing!

I think one of these days when I'm sitting comfortably in a BS farming L4's, I'll take the time to write up a COSMOS guide. Seems like the information is in pretty high demand, but I'm sure by the time I get around to it, I'll have been beaten by someone else.

I cant see anyone producing a detailed guide, but if you go into one of the constellations and ask on local then you will find the communitites there are very friendly and willing to help with advice, hints and even getting groups together to do the harder complexes.

If i remember correctly you want to look up zabonn michi (i think that's the way it's spelled) he's located in a dead end system(0.5) in okkelen constellation, one jump out of ihakana (0.4) (sry can't remember the real name of it).
There's a cosmos complex you can do to get some items for him. Also i think the same system houses the agent that gives that implant to 8% armor hp.
hope it helps

Yes, same feeling here. I don't get the grip on how cosmos missions work, if they need to be run in a certain order, which agents do you start with etc.
There are great guides and walk-throughs for most stuff in Eve except for Cosmos. I saw some walk-throughs for some specific Cosmos missions though but don't remember where I saw it.
My only experience so far with Cosmos missions was when I as a 1 month noob found a cosmos site without knowing it was cosmos. Lot of white ships in space except for a atseroid colony which was red. So I thought if I attack that maybe I get some clue what to do. Bad move lol, which I found out when like 20 NPC ships started to lock me

Most Cosmos missions start with an agent in space. He'll have a few missions for you and recommend to an agent who would not talk to you without those missions being finished.
Those series are normally short (3-5 missions).
There are multiple series in each cosmos constellation.
They're just missions you can try exactly once. Win or fail - unless they include some hacking/analyzing. Some have a random pool of rewards, others have a fixed reward. --*=*=*--
The cause for this is not yet known, but we do have a possible fix in testing. by Sharkbait | 2006.09.20 |

Edited by: Devon Rotel on 27/11/2006 11:54:23 Well it seems that a good deal of people view COSMOS as if there is some sorcery/witchcraft going on. However if you boil it down to what it essentially is then you are left with the fact that it's like doing regular mission running, just without the 16 or so missions you need to get to each Important Storyline.
However, start adding in the fact that each race has their particular COSMOS missions centred around a certain constellation, and then the fact that there are lots of 'funnily-named' items you need to collect, which not only drop from belt rats but also complexes, then it starts to get a little muddier. Once you then start getting some BPC's as rewards for imaginatively named modules, and working out that you need very strange components plus some beefy skills to build them, as well as the fact that you can easily have a nervous breakdown whilst trying to 'harvest' them... then I guess, yes, the whole picture becomes hard to explain
I am in the process of compiling a General Discussion post about the overall COSMOS experience, discussing what exactly you need, what you can expect to get in return, how much effort/equipment and skills you will need, so keep an eye out for it.
Now more specifically to the theme of this thread - I think the main reason why there doesn't seem to be many guides is that a lot of people go do the missions and that's it. So they take a whole scrap load of notes to get them as far as their standings will allow, or right the way through, and then that's it. However if you search hard enough there are guides out there, it's just I think most others are not made public, so kept within corps or groups of friends.
If you are interested in at least trying COSMOS then your first port of call is to find out where to go (i.e. relevant faction constellation) and then check here for a list of agents: EVE Info (Do please be aware that are a few errors in here in regards to agent levels)
The other golden rules I would suggest are, no matter what your standing is, start at the low levels and work up, and also, never ever accept a missions unless you have the item you need to complete it already (or of course that the missions needs to be accepted to give you the Bookmark in order to go do whatever you need to do). In the back of your mind also remember that as soon as you start a chain of missions you will have started the week-long countdown as to when the missions that is in your journal expires û although a lot of good Bonus rewards are to be had so you will want to complete it as soon as possible.
Finally, I think the other part perhaps keeping people away is that fact that it really does help to have run regular missions beforehand. This will usually mean that you at least have a good understanding of how to kill spawns and how to setup your ships, as well as the fact that you will have good faction standing already (helps you be able to run right through every mission in one go). This in a way also means that you will have a reasonable amount of skill points, and by this I mean you can fly a HAC competently. For the higher levels it is certainly helpful to have a BS (faction if possible) whose capabilities you are totally comfortable with. That is not to say that the above cannot be substituted with teamwork and a good gang of friends. To explain more simply here are the ships I used û AF, HAC, Transport and BS (including help from my alt in the same ships + a Logistics/Covert ops now and then)
Well... enough rambling. And I hope it hasnÆt confused you more

Zabonn Michi in Otomainen.
His missions are pretty easy: there's 3 of them, soloable in a Cerberus. 2 t1 ravens could do them as well. Maybe even one well skilled raven. Mission 1 is easy: to retrieve a guy from the outrider post in that system. Mission 2 is an extravaganza style deadspace mission (this is the harder one). Mission 3 is a simple 1m3 courier a few jumps.
Easiest 400mil I ever made.
Between corps atm, the NPC one is strictly a temporary thing. RAWR!111 Sig Hijackz0r!!11 - Immy |
