Your understanding of how eve functions is demented.
I would say if Titan wrecks remain persistant you would need to wait for a DT before they become "fixed". Similar to outposts function at the moment.
Lol, why do you think you have to wait till DT for the outpost?
It's a server side patch, even if a very small one.
Because you can dock at an outpost.
A titan wreck is no different from an anchorable can, which is why you would not even need to wait until DT.
And its not a "patch"--its an automatic database replacement, one of millions done every DT.
Anyone remember when they made that Burn Eden monument? Static, non Destructable monument, etc... why did that req a patch then?

Very good idea, both to the OP and to the detailed ideas about how they could exist.
How about (as the Titans are reported in the backstory as so huge they had their own noticable gravitational pull) that small pieces of wreckage would orbit the main body of the wreck, or perhaps in order to maybe avoid combat within the wreckage (site of great battle, historical monument etc), the max speed within it's area is reduced by 25%, targetting range reduced by same, and maybe all electronic warfare is ineffective within the wreckage area?
Just thinking that such a huge ship, which itself is immune to electronic warfare mods, would create some sort of persistant electromagentic field around the wreckage in the original explosion? To avoid as has been mentioned I believe, them becoming spots of ganking etc. This would, if combined with the Titan wreck being salvagable for rare mods/certain materials that would be abundant within the hull, create an interesting place for combat/salvaging.
Love the idea, really hope it gets implemented.

I bet if you could salvage a Titan, the damn thing would probably only drop 1 burned circuit board.

Originally by: Mitten Anyone remember when they made that Burn Eden monument? Static, non Destructable monument, etc... why did that req a patch then?
Because, afaik, that monument was an addition of a model not currently existing in the game, or perhaps because their existing management tools didn't provide the options to complete this process.
In this situation, wreck models are in game anyway. All I can see them needing to do to make Titan wrecks permanent is a) make them un-salvagable, or do not pop after salvaging, b) anchor automatically on popping, or during DT processing.
This would take some coding to achieve, but should definately not require a patch each time it happens.
Anyway, /signed

lol, i dont think they can patch the game in 2 hours before it dissapears
someone should bookmark the exact spot so something can be potentially made there in the future

It was killed in a safe spot though, where he had logged out to lol, so even if it remained nobody would be able to warp to it, unless they made a beacon.

This would be a server sided patch, wouldn't it?
Anyway, they just have manually put a Avatar wreck at the location if they need to do it this way!

I would imagine most of those involved in the kill bookmarked the wreck. But they're not the only ones...

Excellent idea!
Pieces of the wreck should also rotate slowly in space - maybe even having smaller pieces orbiting the main wreck.

No No No No .............
How many people would actually be able to see it in its current location .. so whats the point.
I agree if its moved to highsec space and placed in a "Titan Graveyard" for everybody to marvel at ... but in the backend of space ... no point.
