Hi all
Can someone tell me if Survey Rank improves my locking speed of, say, an enemy ship like a Sensor Booster would in my mid slot?

no that skill improves probe scanning speeds what you need is signature analysis

I have sig rad to lvl 5, I just thought I was missing out on something as it takes my pvp geddon years to lock anything.

No it doesn't. Only astrometrics and the covert ops bonus improve probe scanning time. Survey improves the speed of cargo, ship and asteroid scanners.

I think it's also a pre-req for Archeology. Might be useful for 0.0 folks who got a COSMOS constellation inside their territory.

finished training it yesterday survey 5 that is so ill be off salvaging all those wrecks ppl are leaving behind

Appareantly next week they will be removing the survey 5 pre-req to salvaging (cant find official post on this myself).
Tnx ccp for making me waste a week training it though <3.
