I started playing very recently and got into mining almost immediately. I siphon off about 10-20% of what I earn selling ore to two friends, one who's been playing a while and one who just started with me.
Newbie friend was suspended for seven days, because they "bought or otherwise obtained ISK or received items from verified ISK sellers, which they then sold on the market for ISK."
Is that _me_? My long-playing friend did give us both 1M to start, but it's not him. And my newbie friend did receive random ISK from a random person while floating in newbie space, but those are the only transactions.
Have I already been pegged as an ISK seller? I know I like mining, but certainly the ~10 hours I've spent in-game thus far haven't flipped a switch already. Half of that time was spent trying to figure out Making Mountains of Molehills (1/10).
And if it's this other guy, how in the world do you avoid getting random ISK? Is there a setting to reject random checks? |

This is not an appropriate question to ask on the forums, the only people who can give you an answer are the GMs, file a petition.

Well as far as protecting yourself, EVE Rule #2 Trust no one. Well generally, but of course not always applicable to everyone. I take it as 'give no one your absolute trust'.
Someone you just met during your first ten hours here, you really know nothing about them, nothing. Ponder that, as I don't want to address the topic specifically. But for protecting yourself, just keep EVE Rule #2 in mind. |
