Yes it was intended.
Accross the board, T2 is the same as best named. Take 1600mm Steel Plate IIs and 1600mm Rolled Tungsten Plates- same HP bonus, the T2s have higher fitting reqs.
T2 is always meant to be the equivalent of best named. -----------------------------------------------

Expanded Cargo II were taken out of the game with the Exodus patch. Local hulls slipped in somewhere since. With Rev Cargo II are back because they now need rigs to make them work. With Rigs - Expanded Cargo II become viable but they'll never be as good as they were pre-Exodus. When Transport ships came into being locals became the preferred hull upgrade. With Rigs - I'll be surprised if Cargo IIs don't start to outsell them. BTW - The small factor of negative speed (or nomovement at all) for Impels and others can be rigged out. I tried on SIS and Cargo IIs work fine. http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n139/Hamymac/BATigerDomiSig.jpg Signature dimensions exceeds max 400x120 dimensions allowed. T2 expanders were meant to reduce the price of 27% expanders and they have so far more then halved it. Now you can either buy the reduced local hulls because you can produce t2 they've had to compete or buy the t2's whichever is cheaper. Either way i'm happy with the price reduction.

Wrong and wrong. Cargo IIs were never in before a few weeks ago. Locals have been in since launch or shortly thereafter.

Actually Cargo IIs have been around for some time, just in very limited quantities for the most part. One of the CEOs in a company I used to work for before I started my own has a stash of them from WELL before the BPOs came into existance.
I know some mention was made of various Cargo II BPCs being released via the buddy program etc for a good while prior to Cargo I being upgraded to cargo II Yay we finally have a forum: http://pantherspaw.freehostia.com/ |
