Edited by: Kat Jupiter on 03/12/2006 23:35:27 Okies, so, I blew up my P4, which ive been using to play EVE.
Ive managed to scra.pe together a system that "Should" play EVE, (plays other games of similar graphics and such, and passes all the minimum specs for the game. Old sys was XP, new is Me (cant put xp on, cant find my disc, which hurts caus Me is the suck.)
When i start EVE, i get is asking for missing .DLL file MSVCR80.DLL, which i Downloaded and put in, followed by MSVCP80.DLL which i put in.
It then says that "BLUE.DLL is linked to missing export KERNEL32.DLL:QueueUserWorkItem"
Ive tried DL'ing KERNEL32.DLL and dropping it in Windows like the other 2 files, doesn't help any, and stops windows from starting which means i needed to delete that file in a dos prompt, putting me back to this point, EVE not starting, and me crying.
Any help at all would be great, ive only got limited skill with computers, and this i cant fix
Ta^^

From patch notes for 3913 to 4557
Quote: Miscellaneous
* Windows 98/ME is no longer supported. * Windows 2000 requires at least Service Pack 2. * The codebase updated to support unicode. * Numerous other optimizations and fixes were made as almost every part of the code was visited and updated during the unicode process.
Windows 98/ME support was removed a while ago but I guess they have forgotten to update the minimum spec page (bad CCP). ----
God gave us a brain, he also gave us a voice.
Shame some people have yet to connect them.
