I am scaning 0.5 to 0.7 in gallente systems Found yet: - 3 hacking sites - frigs guarding them - best loot was 47 current amplifiers - rest of loot was standard salvaging parts
- 2 archaeology site - guraded by frigs - disappointing, datacores and T1 salvage items
- 6 unkown + 3 of em have been 1/10 plexes - nothing but lvl 1 mission loot + 1 4/10 - drone plex single stage - escalated to an exploration - 5 legs - some leading through lowsec. Couldn't finish - last leg was in 0.3 and system was piri ganked + 2 4/10 - "Serpentis Lookout" - I entered with BS, but only some frigs and cruisers in there - killed all npcs and shot down all structures (besides the inactive gate) - NO escalation. When you warp out having second stage done - deadspace despawns - cg to CCP - designed for players with alts or corpmates present. First pocket contained 15.000 hemorphite and 25.000 jaspet - not worth the effort of mining them. Second pocket contains plagi and omber.
My experience: Don't start scaning 3+h after downtime - all sigs are solved at that time. Never found anything on prime time (which is DT+5h here) - besides 1 radar sig, that took me 3 days to sift probe - but was found by a former corpmate at that time (said it was disappointing).

"A Worthy Task" Concord Agent in .5 space.
A lvl 5/10 Rogue drone plex, 4 stages similar to a standard 5/10, then 2 stages where i don't know isf that is true, and one last stage wich was hell... 5.5 million Angel Overseer, Drone Mother throwing Thor Torps, 4 Cruise towers, and a snowstorm of Bomber drones with 5 BS in support. My Navy apoc with Nanopumps, 2 LAR and faction tank had troubles. I had tpo forego the Mother, as I wanted to collect my 3 million time reward and it was 4 am.. The entry gate didn't want to let my industrial pass, so salvaging & looting took time.
Overall, tough, challenging, and looong. Nice standing boost from the agent.

Escalated into a five-leg run ending up in 0.0... all legs had massive stations with multiple waves of battleship and BCs. No loot worthy of mention until the last leg.
Last leg, named Guristas Research Outpost (msg said something about booster manufacturing facility), was interesting though. Overseer structure triggered a trap instapopping my enyo. However, it dropped a corelum a-type energized adaptive nano membrane, even after the msg said it was a dead end.
Total duration: 12 hrs+ Amount of legs: 5 (all low-sec + 1 0.0) Ships used: BC/HAC + enyo Ships lost: 2 x enyo Total ISK rewards (loot, salvage, etc): app. 400m

Good writeup - but some QUESTIONs to CCP DEVS (and Atreidas plz don't take it offensive) - How are casual players suposed to perform such a task? without having the possibility to "safe" and go on next day? How many players are able to run down such an escalation with 12+ hrs duration? What about someone encountering a really good deadspace in an escalation and beeing solo, cause prime time for corp is not yet up?
As stated in another post - plz think about implementing an interrupt functionality to expedition - it is very motivative to find sth interesting buth have to watch it time out, cause your team is not yet online or it took to long to track down the signature.

I went to this location and found 2 very ordinary complexes... what is this message all about - has anyone located the additional area mentioned. I don't have the exact text of the message as it doesn't log to the logs.

You guys are not alone here.
I found a guirista base in 0.0 , and well it was shocking. I was constanly jammed by about 5 pith dire cruisers , which took real time to kill , found a gurista tower that when killed spawns a few more BS and thats it. It dropped 100l charge (standard) pretty much it. I popped all the buildings and there was no escelation so for 6 hours work I made about 4m not taking into account the ammo cost. Very very dissapointing so come on CCP dont make people work for 6 hours for no return. IM better off killing userper spawns in a belt for 10mins than searching out these pathetic hidden complexes.

I've only done about 4 hours of exploration so far but I've found 2 plexes, the first one is not worth mentioning. The second one was in a .6 system surrounded on all sides by low sec. It was the equivalent of a lvl 2 mission, with 2 Shadow Serpentis whatever frigs at the end.
Droped a SS energized thermic hardner a SS adaptive plating and some small guardian ammo.
But as a bonus the first room (of 2) had some huge hemorphite and jaspet roids in them. But all my mining equipment was too far away to take advantage of it

Hi i have done an Blood plex named "Blood owned Station" it was an escalating from the "minor blood annex" . First Spawn 4 Merchnary Overloards 5 Merchanary Wingman 1 Merchanary Overseer. (We shoot the overseer before Stationtower)
The tower triggers an second spawn by shooting him into 3/4 Struck.
Second Spawn: 6 Merchanary Overlord 6 Merchanary commander and 6 Merchanary Elite Fighter.
Then this Message shows up
xxxxxx just received an updated mission objective in relationship to this particular location. Either the Overseer was trying to trick you and this was the best he could come up with, or that you killed him before he could reveal the juicy parts of his offer. Either way, the takings from this expedition were as juicy as the good Overseer's remains after your thrusters were done with him.
we think that you should first shoot the Tower then the Overseer.

As for the difficulty, there was easily over 100 battleships alone and hundreds of NPC's in total. The space-scape was outstanding with huge, erupting ion fountains (for lack of a better description) and after destroying the Luxury Lounge a very large electrical cloud remained in it's place.
While the mission was a blast, the lack of any form of faction loot or journal entry was a bit dissapointing.
Just finished this 1 year later.
Same thing, acceleration gate -> Room 2 acceleration gate -> Luxury Lodge room.
Luxury Lodge room had 5 capital sized sentries, many BS cruisers and frigs. To access this room you need shadow serpentis crystal tags, one per person and it burns the tag so if you warp out due to a respawn, you need another tag to get back in. 1 shadow spawn that dropped a diamond tag, but that was a bout it for loot. Looked awesome and was lots of fun, not worth it ISK wise though.

Edited by: Beness on 18/03/2008 22:18:34 I have done "Blood Raider Base" twice recently, both times in 0.0, but in different systems. The first occurrence was in a -0.5 true sec, while the second occurrence was easier and in a -0.1 true sec.
First taxed (and temporarily exceeded) the tank of a dual LARII Domi fitted for EM/Therm resists, supplemented with a remote LAR and a pair of cap transfer ships.
Second was a walk in the park for 4 BS pilots.
First had a Blood Tower that triggered spawns, 2nd triggered spawns due to location. Both had two rooms, but very different layouts.

My most recent exploration site:
0.6 system, gravimetric "Medium-Omber"
It was all omber, but its better than nothing. Nice, fat rocks (30k units in some), but one peculiar thing: all of the silver omber contained 500 units. Someone earlier in the thread seemed to have a similar experience.

Another mag site with two cans in it got one rig hybrid weapon rig skill book worth peanuits but still an ok drop.
The radar and mag sites have the rare spawns where you can clear 1 billion isk or more if your lucky to get the random site spawn.
radar gets you gas cloud reactions ... they are retailing at 20 million each at least. Plus bpc's for drugs .. its the drug sites are where its at .. the rst is like boring unless your going for mining sites in 0.0 or like the combat sites.
uncheck your cosmic anomaly tab on your scanner and you wont get the cosmic anomaly combat sites... sometimes there are like 10 in one system ... which gives good salvage **** loot very often.

Sсanning some lowsecs in Domain i found:
0.4 Unknown Scanned with Gravimetric Probes. I waste about 1h for this Sansha Minor Annex - just hell. My tanked drake had no time to warp out and was destroyed.
0.3 Grivimetric Medium Gnesis + Dark Ochre About 12\12 roids. 60mil isk profit. Some frigs + cruises respawns sometimes. 3 hours for scan this belt.

Probed the Serpentis Provincial HQ with my alt yesterday in 0.0, warped in my Enyo thinking... "heck this will be easy, Serpentis Base was nothing". Bang Bang Bang, seige launchers put me into structure within 10 seconds I aligned and got the hell out quick, I'd say you'd need at least a well tanked Raven with Basilisk support before trying this monster out (and then that might not be enough), I didn't have any kind of logistic support so I didn't bother warping my BS in

_____ Logistical Depot (Escalation should be considered extremely hazardous due to neut towers) Triggers: Some sentries trigger additional waves Final battlecruiser may trigger escalation
_____ Fortress Triggers: Scram Frig in second room may trigger faction spawn Battlestation may trigger escalation
_____ Military Complex Triggers : Tower (The one that looks like a POS tower) in second room may trigger escalation (Testing shows that trigger is only activated if gate house in first room is destroyed)
_____ Military HQ Triggers: Officer quarters unlocks gate Battlestation in second room may trigger escalation
Drone Plexes
Radiance Triggers: Named drone battleships
Independence Triggers: Named drone battleships

There may be additional plexes but these are the most common ones I come across
The 0.0 cosmos radar plex _____ Compound and its magnometric twin ______ Graveyard can be considered combat plexes. Though they do require the relevant hack/arch skills they are primarily combat oriented and may drop deadspace items.

Probed out Serpentis Logistical Outpost about an hour ago, the trusty old Enyo held up ok in the first room, 2nd had an Energy Neut battery which ****** me sideways
Didn't bother with the 2nd room, I'm bored already and want to kill something with a pulse...
