Largest cargo: Rhea > Anshar > Ark > Nomad
Fuel Efficiency: Nomad > Ark > Anshar > Rhea
Fuel cost: Haven't compared prices in a while.
Sometimes the choice is based upon what isotopes you can easily get.
I personally own 5 Charons and 3 Rhea, but that's because every m3 matters to me. If you can't fill every m3, then there are other options. All my JF pilots can use all races of JF.

KenFlorian wrote:Does the Orca have any merit for "versatility"? Sure, it can fill many roles, and is a lot less expensive too!
Example: When I lived in w-space, everyone in the corp owned at least one Orca. Though probing wormholes with one is not fun (been there, done that. Wormhole collapsed unexpectedly).
Now that one can toss a mobile depot into them and refit anywhere, an Orca is even more handy.

Also don't forget about the Bowhead (I often do).
Much smaller cargo than an Orca, but can move more ships than an Orca (Orca max is one battlecruiser).
The Bowhead is good for moving between mission hubs, or incursion systems. |

Depends on who much you are moving, and how often.
Example: a Deep Space Transport like the Ocaator may be all you need: 60,000 m3 fleet hangar with Transports 4. It can also be tanked reasonably (well, I know my Bustard has Charon-level EHP), are faster, and less expensive.
You can work-up to a freighter or an Orca. The Orca really requires a skill-detour compared to a transport or freighter. |

Or if you are patient, you can use public courier contracts. Consider the price of a freighter vs. courier fees. |
