Good bye, ASCN.
This is not SimCity in space. Everyone can pump out outposts like crazy if they ignore every other aspect of the game ... but then you're just building them for someone else.
No titan. Low on battleships, low on regions, low on leaders.
Time for a fresh start.
Thank you. Thank you very much.

I guess this is the final nail in ASCN's coffin, unless they can pull something spectacular out of the hat.
If thats the case, its also final nail in the coffin of quite a few other southern alliances.
Its amazing how stupid and short sighted some alliance leaders are in the area.
BoB is conquering territory as they please and these idiots are fighting their neighbours in their private little wars.
They are so goddamn stupid, ignorant and shortsighted that they basically deserve their fate after BoB has dealt with ASCN. Ignorance is bliss.

Utmost respect to BoB and their fighting force. A killed titan, no matter the way it was killed, is very impressive and deserves respect.
On the other hand, I must say there alot of, well, retards around. I see endless amounts of people bashin ASCN as a whole saying they've accomplished nothing in terms of combat. Some of you groups have accomplished nothing in terms of conquest. Constructive Influence have put forward their opinions. Where are your outposts? Where are your regions? Inside BoB space you say? Good job in aquiring them, ehrm. XELAS? Oh please, your space is currently tied up by one ASCN corp and CELES.
BoB controlled space is really a big house of cards. The cards are all the vassal entities (Horde, XELAS, Executive Outcome come to mind) with BoB being the glue that holds everything together. There are only so many cards that can be added until the glue runs out. But right now the glue is the strongest glue in the game probably.
I'm very interested to see RAGOON vs BoB in the future. Sitting safe in the North is funny to gaze southwards.

Originally by: Per Ole Seriusly, this is just sad... someone gotta put an end to BOB, they're way too powerfull. Fair enough that they managed to take down a Titan, but now they're the ONLY alliance in game with a Titan, actually I think they have 2 or 3, can't remember. that is seriusly unbalanced. If BOB keeps this up, they'll take over perhaps the entire eve universe and there won't be any left to fight (except perhaps a few "rebel" alliances) so it'll take the fun out of EVE. Something needs to be done with BOB, seriusly
Well we have been telling you all for some time now that we will control all of Eve.
Well the community is too busy kissing your arse to fight you so it isn't an entirely unlikely scenario.
I think its clear now that no single entity is able to face BoB so what of the future of the game? People seem to be too fickle and short sighted to work together so just who is going to stop them?
What is stopping BoB from owning 50% of 0.0 in 6 months time?
Wake up Eve.
How about you take yourself and the rest of your Celest crew, come down to AZN and fight along side ASCN? Otherwise STFU! Stop barking and start biting...
Or better yet, concentrate on your own Corp and that crap that goes on inside it.
LOL this is quite a funny statement.
You are individualy that good?
When i ran The Pirate Syndicate; when we allowed The Fenix Alliance into our space. There was a TPS only gang (consisting of a few ex FE members) Who were told that celest would not take us on with equal numbers. Coming from Shadowthrone was a big compliment.
Since that day, i have only seen Celestial Apoc decline in stature and influence.
To now read this comment i cant help but chuckle.
Additionally, if you were that much better on and individual basis, why do i not find myself saluting you as Caldari tounement champions?
Looks like welsh hit a nerve
Fact is, member for member, CELES is better than you in all aspects. The players in CELES has class and individual skills, your members are sheep being herded.
Unless you havent been keeping up, CELES have been living quite succesfully in YOUR claimed region, without you doing anything about it. Your ball

I dinane post on the Eve online forums often, but I had to respond on this one.
Firstly I hope the pilot who probed it out never has to buy a drink again.
Secondly where the hell was the Titans backup. It may be a so called Doomsday machine but you dinnae have that thing wandering around exposed without some kind of Fleet. It was asking to get ganked doing that...And well it did.

First off, congrats to BoB. It was not epic, i found it a bit anticlimactic even (hey dude, where's my explosions?).
Still, congratulations are in order...not so much for killing an unmanned ship scanned down with the uber fast and easy kali probes, but for keeping an eye out and seizing the opportunity when it presented itself.
If this happened after the next patch which changes the probing system and Cyvok had bothered to leave his tank running, maybe he would have time to log back in and save it. A big WTF is in order here.Someone said that logoff means decloaking, but i think you can still leave you rank running.
There have been some terrible oversights commited by ASCN in this incident and this :
Quote:
Titan Loss 1) It is true that the ship has been destroyed. 2) The circumstances are dubious at best and under investigation. 3) NO ONE IN ASCN will discuss it further to ANYONE until such time as the petition process is completed.
-CYVOK-
...is not the way to fix it. I feel sorry for the ASCN guys who busted their backs working for it. On the other hand, if Dice is indeed on top of the killmail, this has got to be the best irony ever if you take into account how ASCN was initially allowed to exist.
Finally, for the guys who are worried about BoB taking over EvE, that doesn't bother me in the slightest. Of course it's because of my preferred gameplay style and someone else might think otherwise, so let me explain a little bit. BoB could indeed take over loads of 0.0 regions until their lines are stretched thin, but they will never have the manpower to populate all of it.
Worry not though, for here come the tenant corps/alliances. The map will say BoB but they will be living in 2-3 core regions, the rest will be filled with people who have obtained +ve standings with them.
These guys may or may not pay rent to BoB, it's of no relevance really. What matters is that we'll have loads of almost impossible to police 0.0 space infested to the brim with rich fat targets.
No matter the amount of jump clones and logistics someone has, nobody will be able to 100% lockdown 10 or more regions with a mere 1500 pilots or so. Of course, sooner or later you might get spanked by them, they might take a week off their gametime to camp you and make you leave through boredom, but you can always relocate and come back through another entry point, since all it takes is some NPC corp alts with freighters and you can always make some money on the side will squatting in their space.
Personally i wouldn't bother with BoB on a traditional territorial war scenario, it's stuff that i find too tedious to be fun for my subscription money, plus it would be time consuming too.
But if they had 50% of 0.0 to themselves and their +ve listed alliances, it would make half of the map a prime arena for middle sized groups to go roving into, raid, burn and pillage. If the tenants started complaining, they would either pack up and leave or BoB would replace them. Either way this would lead to strife, more wars, etc etc. It would indeed be harder for an opposing power block to form, but it would be a paradise for raiders, 0.0 pirates and all kinds of PvP corps with no infrastructure on the line for BoB to destroy.
They would be forced to do nothing else than jump between clones, chase off ganksquads and camp people in NPC stations in rotation through their regions, unless they somehow recruited half the game's players. In either case, it would be boring for them and they would have to stop expanding to tighten their grip on their space, or loose members and have even more difficulty maintaining it.
It's a very intriguing scenario. If NPC stations got removed a lot would change of course, but i think NPC regions are needed as an initiation of newer players to 0.0 and hot spots of war. Maybe the placement of NPC stations is what needs to be fixed, aka moved to regions right next to empire so we'd have this route: hisec->lowsec->NPC 0.0->conq 0.0

I don't believe that it should be made a permanent wreck or a memorial. It was a gank not a battle. While yes it is an impressive kill in its own right. It's nothing that other people haven't done, that is scan down and kill people who've logged with aggro. The difference here being that this was a Titan instead of a normal ship. As someone from I believe 0utbreak said, I'll never get excited warping to another logged off ship again, the summit for that has been reached.
Edit: Check page 1 for pics.

It has to be said, well done BoB. You accomplished something that no one else has! Am I right in thinking that the war was started to destroy the Titan, to be the first to achieve such a feat? I think I remember hearing something about that. Either way well done. What'll happen with the war now?
Wonder how ASCN will react, will there be mass desertion, defection? Will the vultures move in and take the south in the confusion? Will Cyvok retire as head of ASCN?
Crikey too much to think about, but again, well done BoB, commiserations ASCN and I cant wait to read the News tomorrow to say "I was there when it was officially announced"
