To CCP,
can we get a chart of the tournament APM like you guys showed briefly in the second weekend? Curious to see how the numbers were after the entire tourney. TY |

Actions per minute. Its a way to measure how active your pilots are during a match. Or another way to look at it is how hard your team is working to win |

Or another way to look at it is how hard your team is working to win I know what APM means, hence the first two suggested interpretations to illustrate how little this means in a game based on a 1 s tick rate, beyond a use along the lines of the last suggestion. ;) |

APM isn't really that good of an indicator though, the APM of teams probably varies greatly depending on the type of comp they are bringing, PL brought mostly Turtles/Defensive Setups which is probably why they are low on the Graph, Especially Tinkers, there is very little positioning going on in the matches, and it usually relies on weapon systems which are independent of positioning obviously, so there are far less 'useful' positioning related actions to take in the match. Warlords, Camel, Exodus, and the rest of the top teams mostly brought AT XIII rush comps with TFI/T3Ds, where positioning is much more important, and therefore we have higher APM as a result.
It is p. funny that TNT, the literal 'Orbit FC 500 guys' in Orthrus/Cerb kiting gangs is higher than PL on that list tho. But half that APM is probably broadcasting for reps

I wonder if CCP's graph includes modules spam, double click in space spam etc, which is no doubt general apm.

I really think we can include more of these hard stats in desk discussions in future events.
Larrikin should be able to provide some for post-tourney chat as well. Lemme pester him.

Imo its more that if you double click in space in the same direction 20 times and fly the same way as someone who clicked 5 times (some people permaclick, others only click every now and then) is seen as a apm that is 4 times higher. |
