Anyone else with AMD dual core CPU find EVE unplayable ever since the first Kali patch? If I even manage to log in I get a horrible slide show, and graphics allways hang totally within about 30 minutes.
AMD Opteron 170 ASUS A8R32-MVP Deluxe Nvidia GeForce 7600 GT with latest drivers sound disabled Client reinstalled from scratch Running on single core (increased chanse to log in, but still slide show and graphics hangs)
I dont have any problem running any other app or game. When i run logserver the communication between client and server seem to run uninterrupted (i can f.ex catch snippets of communication in chat windows in the logserver workspace)while the game screen is frozen solid. I strongly suspect incompability issues with the current client and my PC (CPU/chipset/graphics card/drivers?) As long as ccp dont seem to even acknowledge there's a problem I guess I have no other option but to unsubscribe :(

I run AMD dual core and my stability issues have slowly been worked out over the last two weeks.
One thing to try when reinstalling video and sound drivers is a program like Driver Cleaner 3.0. It will get rid of the last remnants of the driver install that you are removing. It is freeware and easily locatable on a quick google search.
Also, AMD has released a dual core driver and MS has released a hotfix for dual core issues in the last week or two. You should only have to use one or the other, not both. Personally, I went with the AMD driver and optimization on the AMD website.
I just don't trust MS hotfixes.
Also, check your mobo drivers as well.
Just to torture you, I am no longer running on one core, I have sound and my framerate is solid high 80's when in normal space (warp jumps over 130).

One thing you *can* do, I've found it helps.. but not perfect, is to launch task manager and manually assign a affinity to each program. Two clients, assign one to CPU 0 an one to CPU 1, this seems to help a lot. It's not perfect, but it's better.
Let me know if that helps.
