Hi guys. We're set into Aridia since formation and met quite a varied lot of people. Thing is, the darn region seems to be mostly empty, except for a few small-medium pirate corps and very small alliances. Also the ASCN - BoB war passed by and we keep seing some ASCN around but thats it.
Are there any real Aridians out there ? People that really live in Aridia and not just come by to complete a lvl 4 mission, people that try and make something good from the region.
If such people are out there, if there are corporations truly based in Aridia and making a life there, please let me know. CAGE would love to see who you are, what you are doing and let you know who we are and what we are doing.
We would also like to set a pirate-defense channel to act as 0.0 defense channel does.
Hope this message reaches you.
Regards, Rina Shanu

We make sporadic forays into Aridia when our pirate component feels the urge to gate camp, but that's infrequent as of late. We basically just do our research and such there in order to avoid transporting bpo's. We do, however, make life difficult for anyone that decides to set up in our home system in Aridia, just on general principal. ____________________

Been living in or near Aridia for about a year now.
It's the ghetto of EVE, nothing ever happens, besides plexers all over it (especially near the 2 x 6/10 blood plexes in upper aridia).
There are a few carebear corps/alliances living up near yiratal, just whoring the plexes all day, they already got one of those anti-pirate channels going called -aridia- (last time i checked at least).
Your free to come up here and have a look about, my guns are getting hungry lately. ---------------------------------

Look up my character and check his employment history. All those corps are in Aridia, save Taurus. I am moving back to Aridia once I recruite enough people to hold jasson and attempt to keep it pirate free.
But thats a ways off for now. Unless you know anyone who isnt in a corp and wants to be anti-pirate?

I lived in Aridia for awhile not much going on, mostly missionrunners and farmers and a few pirates, BOB stops by sometimes, but nothing to bad.

No. Syndicate is the ghetto of Eve.
I spent alot of my young months in Aridia, and then returned later. And taking a note from another posted - check my employment history - InQuest (not IQ-A) is still in Aridia.

Aridia hasn't been the same since Imperium left, no more Xirtam mining veld in Defsunun and the D4KU brigade have gone. It's still good for a bit of a laugh if you have a bit of sec status to burn, and you're looking for an easy bit of loot.
Sausage smuggling syndicate hang around there and are usually game for a fight if you come across them ♥ Other than that lower aridia, last time I was there, was mainly mission and plex runners. --

Edited by: Rina Shanu on 20/12/2006 10:10:51 We've been contacted in game last night by a group of corporation and have been officialy greeted.
We've been looking checking things out and have made some observations: the Bratwurst guys are pirating in the area, along with the Sausage ones.... Oh, Joshua, we've heard somethign about a Coreli corporation pirating in teh area also... hmm... heard anythin ? :P
Regma, mate, please tell you alliace mates to stop chasing my friend Farting Bob. It is not his fault for his name (really check your killboard), his father that has also passed away (think WoW) gave him this name not realising the future possibilities.
Anyways, thanks for the replies adn information, See you in local.

Every time I pass through Jasson (which is relativly often) its empty as the grave *shrug*
And you will find even the so called pirate corps are whoring complexes in Aradia these days.

Lower aridia used to be very alive, with a pretty good market, but then A couple of the "BIGGER" corps left the area and it seems to have fallen back to it's original state.

Aridia has been my HQ for over two years now I would say. Have moved away on several occations but just eneded up getting drawn back to the father land.
Its nowhere near as fun as it was back in the Legion days when we first came to the region. A short time after that the entire region went quiet. Theres now pockets of corps spread out from north to south with the mission runners in Yah and the macroer's in the plex's.
Appart from that Aridia is borring.

When we (SGHQ) lived in Northern Fountain/Aridia the area was pretty exciting. We had fights on a daily basis with BoB ganksquads, Huff (at the pirate chokepoints), and even sometimes Xelas. I know we moved out, IMP moved out, and then even VC moved. I go through there every once in awhile these days and it isn't anything like the thriving area it used to be.

Give me a call Rina, I'll do the same when I'm on to get to know you.
CDS and it's former incarnation moved into Aridia nearly 1.5 year ago during the LEGION days Rheinkraft mentioned. We have been there ever since and loving it every minute. If anything Aridia keeps you sharp. There are good days and very bad ones but in the end I have the idea Aridia is something of a community within a community. And yes, we think of ourselves as Aridians. Some of us tried to move out but get drawn back very soon.
'bout that defense channel... settlle down and wait it out a little. Nothing is black/white in a sector like this, that's the beauty of it.

Lived there for nearly a year now. Currently living about 40-50 jumps away.
Its mainly quiet, lots of carebear corps in Yiratal and surrounding areas, mainly mission runners and noobs. Some of the main alliances (OMG and ExE) have moved away leaving space for others such as the Scandinavians who are easy targets.
Usual pirates etc, Eliptic and his boys ive fought before. Hehe
Camped up in Vehan/Udianoor usually, just by the same old people, your stupid if you get caught by them though tbh.
Err what else, its pretty boring, not a great deal of action, not enough targets aswell!

i grew up in aridia, its not what it use to be, no more cruiser spawns, just the remainders of a time forgotten, where a noob could make a quick buck and gank some nasty pirates for fun. my noob corp took me there long time ago 2004, usual baddies moved along to bigger and getter things, bored pirates float thru every now and then though everything seems pretty laid back these days, gondista was a major choke point though the map chnages seemed to have nerf aridia and being an important region at all, basically last stop before death awaits you by bob in delve or open arms greets you by INSRG in fountain, we use to have a pirate defense squad and mining ops where we would pop belts, good old screenshot collection, these days are gone. Still got an office in hier, my home away from home, where i took my first steps as a budding capsuleer and piarte hunter. Good times RIP ARIDIA
