Hello fellow capsuleers.
In the past 4 years there has been a stupid rise in off grid boosters. Griefers alliances have swelled, Null Sec has become a giant blue ball and low sec is as low sec was, dead apart from select areas.
Now with the rise in griefers we have seen a drop in players subbing to EvE. We know this is fact.
There is now less online on a weekly basis than of 4 years ago and i do not think it a coincidence this is so.
So i demand an end to safe superior PvP in empire.
Off grid boosters i.e command and t3 ships must be on grid. They must be suspect flagged and must be able to be killed within reasonable limits i.e they need to be within 50km of the ship they are boosting.
PvP pilots always give the "Risk vs Reward" rubbish. Well let's see them take the "Risk" with their T3's to get their "reward" of the loot from target ships.
So in short.
1. Boosting may only be possible from 50km or closer. 2. Any NPC or Non corp booster must be suspect flagged the second it begins to boost the member of his/her fleet. 3. PvPer's must learn to PvP when their fancy shiny boosters are at Risk. 4. Griefers or "mercs" as they like to call themselves must be taught to PvP without an advantage i.e superior boosted tank/dps.
I demand that Boosters BE ON GRID AND SUSPECT IN ALL FIGHTS. |

Why suspect and not just inherit the flags their boostee get? Like all limited engagement if they engage a legal target and such? Do you really need to be able to 3rd party every booster in HS just because :reasons:? |

I think you are missing the point.
These boosters give griefer pilots and players who can afford two accounts an unfair advantage in PvP.
So let's make these "boosters" paper thin and at risk, if they want to use them for this purpose, so be it.
Also inheriting a "WT" flag whilst off grid would do NOTHING at all since they would still be off grid and SS.
No, they must be on grid, suspect flagged and within 50k of their target they are boosting.

Exceedingly redundant thread.
Don't like the other guy having links, have a friend boost you.

No I think you are missing the entire point of his response...
What you're demanding is: Activating Warfare Links gives the link ship a suspect flag.
Why? So If I just undock, and turn on Links, I get a suspect flag? I've attacked no one, and I'm giving boosts to no one. So why would I get a suspect flag?
Then to address your other "demands"... I actually agree that off-grid boosting should end, but not that it should become <50km boosting. I think it should become ON-grid boosting. As in within 400km or so.

I agree that boosting mechanics needs to be looked at, but you're not going to win over any supporters with your angry tone. Specifically, there are very few true "griefers" (i.e. those not in compliance with CCP's TOS or those actually breaking game mechanics) in New Eden, and any true "griefers" should be reported, not complained about on the forums.
With that out of the way, I think your proposal goes too far for a few reasons:
1. What you proposed makes no consideration for mining operations, which also rely heavily on fleet boosts from Orcas. Should all NPC corp Orcas go suspect when their links are running and be limited to 50km of their mining ships? By what you proposed, this would have to be the case. I find this patently ridiculous.
2. Your proposal would make abusing game mechanics to get easy boosting ship kills almost trivial. Want to make a boosting ship go suspect? Get into fleet with it and duel someone. Bam, instant suspect. Suspect, Criminal, and Limited Engagement flags are, and absolutely need to remain, the result of some action that you, the potentially flagged individual, takes, not some action that someone else takes. Once you open up that door, all manner of mayhem will break loose.
3. Why 50km? That seems like a rather arbitrary number.
4. Why must some players give up their advantage and others not? You seem very focused on (and quite angry with) a narrow subset of players, yet your changes affect a large swath.
5. Would your proposed changes apply to all leadership boosts, or just those from warfare links?
EDIT: and just so we're clear, -1 to this. It's total overkill.

Are you responding to me?
First of all, I never said "risk vs reward" once, so don't put words in my mouth and then call me a hypocrit, you dense ****.
Second... my response was not "why should I risk my stuff to fight you".
It was "why would a ship get a suspect flag for NOT ATTACKING ANYTHING"... ??
He's trolling me right guys? This thread is troll-bait, yea? I always fall for it!

thats boosting the n+1 meta also, "get links urself" means paying another alt, and not everyone can do that, thus it seperates the playerbase |

Dry your eyes, poppet.
Then HTFU and go live in space where you can kill these.
Also, LOL at all the idea of suspect mining boosters. |

A friend is not an alt. An alt is an option, but you can get a friend too. Friends do exist, you know.
And no..... 'Nerf links alts or off grid links or links in general thread's are all discussed and discussed and discussed until even the dead horse is beating the dead horse.
