Unconfirmed reports are filtering in from around Empire space that the ISS Navy Taskforce are attempting recover from their recent bad investment ventures on the properties market through Piracy and ore theft. Once such report from a shipless miner stated 'He came out of nowhere. He took my ore, and when we tried to take it back he opened up with all guns. We broadcast a distress signal and jetisoned the escape pods, but his onslaught was relentless'. Could this be a rogue sepratist movement working from within ISS, or are ISS themselves beginning to focus on piracy and Empire theft as a means to support their deep space ventures?

Eye witness reports are coming in now. We are in posession of confirmed killmails. It is reported that a pod pilot by the name of 'Soga' of the ISS Navy Task Force, a member of the Interstellar Starbase Syndicate Alliance has undertaken the role of ore thief and pirate in Empire space. He was last seen scurrying from a 0.8 system piloting, what looked to be, a fairly new Kestrel.

If true, mate, I doubt he'll be in ISSN 24h from now. Contact ISS management though they may be a bit too busy right now, or Steamy, ISSN's personnel director.

ISSN have been contacted and the relevant evidence was forwarded so that they may make an informed decision. At this time it's still unknown if these actions are sanctioned by the corporation or they are being conducted by rogue agents.
A correction to the previos report. These events took place in a 0.9 security system.

I don't know who "Soga" actually is, but he only joined ISSN 11 days ago. Doesn't look like he'll have a very long tenure with ISS.

Hello Elgar,
I just reviewed your evidence through in-game mail. Soga's roles have been removed, and he will be released from ISSN in 24 hours. Considering we are at war, he would normaly would have to face a court martial, but due to the other things we are busy with, and we are becoming a bit more medieval, I have the role of judge and in this case, executioner.
This kind of behavior is not tolerated in ISS, and certainly not in ISSN. Let's resolve the remaining things like your losses in game. Sorry this happened to you.
Sincerely, Steamy

The fool was dumb enough to take the ore back that I stole. For that he lost his crusier. Dont think you will be safe mining high sec Mr. lightfoot. I suggest you should teach your corp mates how to defend themselves against pirates.
As for ISS, I wish you luck against IAC. It seems I do not belong in an alliance at this time until I satisfy my lust for pirating.

So how exactly does IAC handle rouge pilots, if not how ISS just did? Every alliance gets them from time to time, so i'd think yours must as well. . . . Regards, August |

What, you mean like the Priory camping Doril, and suffering 'technical problems' preventing them from being able to tell that that hauler going through is flagged as 'friendly' (or even neutral) and 'accidentally' blowing them away?
Naah, that'd never happen under an IAC flag.

Good to see ISSN are taking action against pilots, when appropriate evidence is bought to their attention.

yes overview bugs can happen, however after the initial kill your member corp broke the cease fire, in wich we promptly disposed of them. that corp also said they would continue to engage us as they didnt care about the cease fire that was agreed upon.

Edited by: Halafian on 20/12/2006 11:47:50 July Priory kills 9 ISS ships, including a hauler, two noob ships and a shuttle. ISS kills 0.
August Priory kills 15 ISS ships, including 4 haulers, 1 shuttle and a few frigates. ISS kills 0.
September Priory kills 20 ISS ships, including 3 haulers and 5 shuttles. ISS kills 0.
All this occurs while Priory is nominally within the scope of the NAP offered IAC.
In October, ISS decides it's had enough, and begins to shoot back more aggressively. Priory finally booted from IAC (at least officially; they still work closely). Priory begins to take losses. Priory comes to boards and whines that ISS isn't "neutral".

Wow so much work just to prove a point...
We did not get booted - we left willingly.
And we have not posted any threads whining about ISS' supposed neutrality (keep up with the flow btw. It's non-political now ) EDIT: We have posted in posts regarding ISS' supposed neutrality, however I think you would have a hard time finding us directly whining about it. We don't mind if you shoot us...
Oh and according to the information I can get, we did not join IAC 'til October this year, so why even bother posting stats for July, August & September? ____________

man i love when people try and bring false stats to the table to prove a point. as magz stated we were not in iac until october and that was 2 weeks in october. and if you want the proper stats it goes as follows.
magz gets overview bug shoots hauler. issn comes in kills raven. iac and iss talk and arrange a cease fire, priory agrees. then 12 hours later the corp that lost the hauler engages 1 pri member with 2 bs and a cruiser we responded to the threat by sending them back to their cloning bay, we have logs to prove they fired the first shot after the cease fire was in effect. then the corp tells us in local that they will not obay the cease fire. priory was then told not to agress unless fired upon first. then it was about 4 days of both iss and pri trying to get each other to shoot at each other. now we arent denying that we wanted to shoot you guys. however if you want to prove your point then post the truth not some fabricated stats in hopes to make you guys look innocent.

I haven't forgotten and I'll say it again - I don't mind shooting blues, especially if those blues are ISS.
We're just trying to say that Halafian is completely off with his post and it serves no purpose at all to post stats, when we weren't even in IAC those months he's posting stats from. And to hold IAC responsible for what we do, when we're not in IAC, is pathetic and seems to me just a matter of finding an excuse to smear IACs reputation. ____________

I was responding to the claim that ISS and Priory were "equally" responsible for problems, when the simple fact is that Priory were flat-out the whole, entire problem.
That was true.
I was wrong about Priory being under IAC's NAP that whole time -- sorry. They were only killing ISS while under IAC's NAP for the weeks in mid October when they ganked other ISS haulers and various smaller ships, before getting actively hunted down.
