Have they fixed the crappy 500 ore unit asteroids out there or is that always the way they're going to be?
Anyone see any official word on this?

You don't mine up there with your Modulated Strips, you mine with your Tachyon II's. Also Potus will find it difficult to run his "business model" out there - you know move in, price gouge at local stations, not allow anyone to fight in defense of the region, take taxes from members for personal gain; because there are no locals and he'll have to run some POSs to get the benefit the way things are at the moment.
1. Post with your main! 2. Proof or stfu 3. POTUS just killed a crow yesterday with his carrier, and has an open-ended invite policy for corp members for regional defense. We are encouraged to contribute whenever we see fit. 4. As far as your price gouging, we sell stuff in Jita. Price gouging doesn't work there.
Whoever you are, you're sadly misinformed. Wishing for better mining ships in a system near you. |

Lol, not wishing to start a flame war, but I was in Pimps some time ago, so I don't know if the policies have changed but I do know the way things worked and I'm not stupid (which is why I left).
Anyway, one thing I know for sure is that it's a corp run for the benefit of his ISK balance and nothing else. Anyone who thinks otherwise is in a state of denial. Yes, Potus can kill a crow with his carrier defending himself. Impressive. The gouging in local outposts was common (and got us into trouble) and we were not allowed to engage "the enemy" at all. We also paid tax on NPC kills and a monthly tax just to be there to "the corp" (Potus bank account).
In return we got access to 0.0 space just for as long as you idiots managed to stay there without screwing over the locals and getting us kicked out. I just didn't think it was a fair deal to be honest. Like I say, it might have changed now, so I'm not stating it as necessarily relevant, just a point of interest, thats all.
Now for the new regions, this model won't work - you need to base near an outpost or run a couple of POS's. It's fun to do "solo" and a challenge - you don't need Potus to hold your hand. Just come on over.

I wasn't de-railing, these regions are not "broken" in respect of ore growth. You mine with your guns. In the context of your corp, which I know enough about, you won't be too keen on using them - moreover you won't find these regions particularly profitable given the kind of business you are running.

Is it all roids or just highend ones that are resapawning with less then 1000units? Coz the Crokite where i mine in the old world spawns with 500-1000units n 1belt is still enough for me. Dont be so impatient to see profit

You were and still are derailing; I never said at any point that the roids or system were broken; and at no point did I ask for any sort of bull**** analysis of my corp by your spineless dumbass alt. That is where you're derailing.
I asked a simple question about ore respawning amounts, and you see this as a valid entry point for your meaningless gibberish. You want to rail on about my corp? Post in the corporations/conflicts forum. AFAIC, all this unsolicited crap you've dumped in this thread is exactly that, because you won't back it up with proof.
Oh yeah, and Merry Christmas

You asked if the asteroid spawn amounts had been fixed which implies you think they are broken. I don't think they are broken, they were just not intended to be a carbon copy of the other regions. I have also decorated my responses with an analysis of why Potus won't like the new regions regardless of the asteroid spawn amounts. But by all means come on over and see for yourself. You don't need to pay Potus to do so.

Yes but you and the other complainers are looking at it the wrong way. I don't think they were intended to be cookie-cutter 0.0 regions. They have unique characteristics. Consider the drones use up all the highs and you get them from loot drops. The problem with these regions is a lack of lows for bulding/self sufficiency. I would be quite happy if they had no highs in whatsoever.

Then why eaven ICE is low and low grade minerals? And drones really are not that perfect (no faction spawns, no hawlers spawns ect) - so new region defenetlly is not well! If u dont belive it - move into it

Well I moved up there some weeks back. No problem with ice (unless you are trying to supply a system full of large POS) but there is one glaring absence: the ability to earn ISK directly (NPC, Complex, etc.). Not sure if you can do via. exploration but anyway, we don't know if this was the intention. I would love a dev blog about it to be honest so we at least know if it's truly broken or not.

There is ore, just it doesn't grow like the rest. Mostly it's 100 - 500 units per rock and no more or less rocks than any other region. I just checked the ice though, theres loads, but not many fields in each region.

Perhaps they simply made the rocks small because there are already so much minerals coming from these regions in the form of drone loot? In fact, the rogue drones aquire this material for themselves, hence the loot drops.

Did anyone think about the fact that you might have to SEARCH for good belts ? Scan systems and things like that ?

They still broke. The low ends like Veld...you can scan the largest roid ( the ones as big as moons ) and only get 16,000 units...most are small in size. You can mine out a high end roid and it took 3 days for it to respawn at 100. I kept tabs on one after it respawned and it only grew 28 units in 3 days. There may be other stuff hidden out here but CCP has not seeded the game with the skills or equipment needed. The rats do drop minerals but consider this, the deeper you go in the farther you have to go to get it refined. Unless you have 2 chracters running, one to rat and one in a hauler, I don't see many players going 10,20,30+ jumps in a ship for ammo or to dump minerals unless they do have a hauler tagging along. There are very little moon minerals worth much up here and no rare moons that anyone has found, and we have been searching the whole area since the patch release.
In a nutshell, the roids are broke, the moons are almost worthless, no stations, no rat bounties and no low end ore or mins worth mining. This is a fact as I live out here.

Yup, and only thing I have found is the same complex in every system I've scanned over the last 3 days. Which would probably be rated a 3/10. With no bounties, the structures drop nothing and only 2 levels.
No gas clouds, no hidden belts. Now I might be unlucky, but the same complex in at least 3 systems of the same constellation seems odd.
Now once I run some more scan probes off I'll search around a bit more.
