I have an idea to encourage players to seek player corps set Npc corp tax to 75%. I feel that that would cause a mass migration to player owned corps.
Come on every one likes targets and new members to harass. |

Brilliant. New players are automatically in NPC corps.. Before we even give them the keys to a space ship lets bend them over and forget to use lube. That will surely improve the NPE! |

I was under the impression that's why karmafleet was created was to offer newbies an alternative to Npc corps and to get them out and killing debris faster.

A day 1 newbie will not even know who we are or what KarmaFleet stands for.. So a 75% corp tax on them... on day 1 minute 1... is not even remotely acceptable. It's punishment for punishments sake because you feel others don't play the sandbox the way you want them to.
On a technical point.. an NPC corp doesn't hurt the game. The prevention of wardecs does not stop risk adverse game play nor does it stop one from ganking someone. An 11% tax is less than most nullsec groups who understand what bills are and like having toys to play with. Just because you or I does not agree with NPC corp lifestyles does not mean at a core mechanical level that it is bad and should be punished/removed.
It's really quite simple. EVE replaces many normal "NPC" roles with actual people. Miners, haulers, "griefing pirates(gankers)", etc.. all handled by people. All of them are valid and all of them provide the ecosystem of gameplay some form of utility. If you want a corp to seem better... then MAKE it better. SANDBOX means work.. you reap what you sow.. and yes.. The Imperium strives to draw snoobies into the fold and teach them a better way. We reap quite a few good people doing it. We also get a metricsh*ton of spies... But then again.. spai life is high life. |

Correct, it's an offer rather than you force NPC corps memebers to join POC. |

That's not encouraging thats forcing. People like to stay in npc corps and not be told what to do by others and when and how I want to play my game. If I want to join a real player corp then I'll decide when I want to do that.

Pfft, easy. NPC corp tax should be 100%!

Come on every one likes targets and new members to harass. Nah. That just makes NPC corps unattractive but still leaves the problem that individual player corps are interchangeable so players will keep hopping from one solo corp to the next to evade taxes.
What is needed is to make individual player corps have real value. The most obvious way to do this is buff players corps and make those bonuses persistent and tied to the corp so players have an incentive to join a specific corp and defend it.
Structures are the way to do this, not taxes. So, -1. |

Yet another "Waaaah! I can't war-dec NPC corps!" thread. That, or "Waaaah! everyone needs to play the game the same way I do!" If people want to stay in NPC corps the entire time they play EVE, what possible difference does that make to other people? |
