There was a time a few months back in Eve I could zoom is close enough that it would appear the camera was touching the nose of the ship.
I mean you could literally zoom in untill it appeared the camera would go through the ship - im talking very close zoom, if the ship had a serial number I could read it.
Now Roughly since Revelations was deployed I can only zoom in half the amount I used to be able to. I honestly don't think it was due to revelations as my corpmates zooming abilities never changed. Im just using The patch as a time stamp.
Looked at every possible graphic setting in the menu no change brigns back my close up zoom?
So my question is, How far can you zoom in? and will the resolution of my desktop affect how far I can zoom in in EVE, happy to give as much information as possible as I really miss the close up view.

Right click. Move the camera to the correct position you want. Left click, move the mouse backwards and forwards to control zoom. This is how i take some of my magical screenshots...like this one:
Full broadside firing abaddon
My poor poor abaddon...too bad it got blown up and stuff. Meh. :-(
EVE-Radio is amazing: Jus4ack/Urri/Brilloman = legends! 'Shut up carebear, this Harbringer has 400 horsepower!' |

Yes it did infact change in revelations, i think the idea was to change the default or 'starting' zoom distance from the ship so everytime you undocked you wouldent have to zoom out so much, but it seems it also limited the max zoom, which is a shame esp. if you want to watch a tiny drone or fighter orbit its target.
i assume we will get a closer zoom back when Eve gets its new graphics engine and extra detailed and reworked ship models (hopefully) sometime this year. -
