I've sent a wind-powered spaceship design to the government.
Still didn't get their answer, even though I sent it months ago. |

They are only now starting to spot planets further away than pluto ... ... but still orbitting our star.

I wouldn't say 'confirmed' but there's pretty convincing evidence.

I have been saying that for years, but they'd rather get excited over bullshit spoon-fed by the pathetic excuse for a "media" that's all hype and no facts. |

So, what's the max speed of our spaceships these days? How long would it take to get to the nearest galaxy 4 ly away?
with speed of light at 300 000 km/s... 10% would be 30k km/s... sounds too much for spaceship to reach 1% is 3k km/s... still sounds unlikely 0.1%... 300 km/s... I guess that sounds doable
But at that speed, it would take 4000 years to reach next galaxy. |

0.1% is the least ridiculous figure and it's still so much faster than anything humans have put into space thus far. During its slingshot maneuver around Earth, the Juno probe reached only 38.9 km/s.
The real problem with anything that isn't a probe is slowing down again. New Horizons blasted straight by Pluto because taking the fuel to slow down enough to enter orbit and study it would have been prohibitively expensive.
Space is hard. |

So, in the range of 0.01% of light speed. That would put the travel to 40k years. We better start making those immortality potions. |

We are colonizing new planet. For now only in imagination, but who knows, maybe we will live long enough to see a human foot stomping the life out of other terrestial planet.

I've camped Tama a few times, but you need to move swiftly before Snuffed Out hot drop carriers on your ass. Though tbh you get more kills in the surrounding regions, as most people have learnt to go the long way round. |
