I've just got an idea while flying around. What made blood sites so interesting to me? There's a limited supply of them. Why not make the same for missions? Like, every agent gets random amount of missions per hour (in example) within given range, first come - first served. And missions may get stacked so that if nobody runs for him he'll have plenty of work, but they expire so he never ends up with insane amounts of them. There's gonna be a lot of balancing and statistics involved, though. |

It will make people spread out a little, i lile it and cant see being to hard do, but done side is the small trade hubs based around missins like dodixe, i think its spelt, will suffer a little, it will still be used for pvp of couse and the local indys will still use it but they would drop in item movement.
Will also make farming loot harder, i can see mission loot, mission specific will go up in value.
I also think that it should be like sites, once its down it will repsawn at new agent, like 100 "blockade" amissinll spend out, i do one and it will be move to another agent, so there will allway be missions to do. Just like the site, that way player wont be able to ever match the spawn rate. |

And what make those sites interesting to everybody? The boosters. That's the reason why there is a limited quantity. No one would care for those sites if the only reward was the mandatory BS BR skin.
Problem being, that most missions have absolutely no decent reward, thus the reason why you need to chain those to have a decent enough efficiency. With limited mission supply, it would just make mission running totally useless and uninteresting (because travel time, need for lots of standings, etc). And no, it is not going to push missioners into more dangerous regions of space in the hope of being more mission available there, it is just going to make them quit and stop subscribe, because the activity they enjoyed is now gone.
Seriously, people should just stop with the "nerf high-sec" topics. High-Sec carebears are 70-80% of the game population according to last FanFest data, and CCP cannot afford to loose that much customers.

carebears will complain they cant blitz them and have to travel to maybe a low sec to, positive effects could be making isk a little harder to make which will in turn help the plex price f2p'ers seem to be so bothered about.

that also works both ways, highsec need to stop with the "missions too easy, bring lvl 5's and pirate missions" yada yada, nerf ganking etc etc, "ccp fix plex price because i cant play for free" blah blah, all they do is complain they dont have any content when the content is in other space and they are unwilling to travel for it.

Is running L4s your chief form of income ?
Also, 'posting in yet another nerf highsec enough and they willl go to wh, low or nullsec which has never happened and wont thread".
Yawn,-á I'm right as usual. The predictability kinda gets boring really.

This is a bad idea because of time zones. Folks that are normally online right after downtime when everything gets reset will have an advantage. West coast US players would be boxed out of all the desireable content because of their earthly location.
This is why first come first served isn't a good business model for MMO. |

An alternate idea would be that the mission would be by another npc, so that often used Mission NPC-¦s could only offer some few missions and NPC-¦s which aren-¦t used often have much missions to give out.

Agents running out of missions is something that has been brought up in the past, it was for each individual character rather than a limited number for all players. It had mixed reactions some thought it was a good idea others did not.
If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.

Would you be surprised that I'm a hisec dweller? Almost full-time one. This can make mission runners' job a bit more interesting and important, so loot and salvage won't cost THAT little, etc. Well, probably. |

I have an even better idea buy one of those 20 sided die used in many games and assign an EvE system name to each of those 20 faces. Since you seem to think that moving around to missions is so much fun you best make sure they are scattered as widely as the map will allow. Every time you log in roll the die and you have to move to that system to run missions. There problem solved you will have to move round to various locations to be able to mission which will make you happy and those who prefer to work in a specific system or confined area can happily run missions their way.
Just in case you have never heard of these 20 sided die. http://www.gmdice.com/dice/d20 |
