This one annoys me the most. You have a couple of ships and a couple of different fittings (short/long range).
So each time I change from my short range fitted Cyclone (Orbit at 5,000 m, Keep at distance at 9,000 m i.e.) to my long range fitted Raven (Keep at distance at 80 km), I wether need to adjust those settings or manually operate the ship, which is kind of annoying as I need to do that over and over again, although nothing at the ships itself was changed.
Would be nice to save those settings per ship.

they could save it locally even. What are you gonna do, hack your orbit at range? its got a valid min and max range, so I dont see that being a problem.

This would probably be saved in the client's cache folder. I'm all for it, this is definately needed! -- *snip* Discussing moderation/ linking to flamebait is a no-no. Read the forum rules before reposting. If you have any questions, email us at [email protected] Tirg |

Even if we abused a local file, it would all be for the best of gameplay. Imagine if we could add more peripherals to the game for controlling things like orbits and speed on the fly.
It would be a simpler step at that point for ccp to add hotkey support to orbit and speed settings signals. All of it is really governed on the server anyway, so update disparity can be throttled as necessary. Hotkeys are easilly mapped to third party peripherals.

what about manually set distances rather than saving while in space and please oh please can someone at least give us a better "keep at range" range. i dont really wana be sat on them when i say keep at range and i dont particularly want to fly away for km until i get to the range i want.
so either manual set up to 10 different ones or sumat or auto set with longer distances!

Would very much like a per ship setting for this.
