I'm lookin for a mp3 player I can use while I work out and was looking for suggestions. I know iPod's are pretty much dominating the market, but I also know they cost more than their worth and theres much better mp3 players out there for less money. I got about $100 I'm willin to spend.

Well, as a former Dixon's employee (if you're in America think Circuit City or Best Buy) I can tell you that the normal iPod's (30GB and up) are great, and that anything less is complete pile of fashion statement CRAP. The Nano is the world's biggest ripoff, the shuffle is just...no, lets not.
I recommend Logik if you get them, or else Sony. Unless you just want something really cheap, but it all depends on how much space you need. A 1GB player will hold roughly 180 songs (mine's got 187 and its 1GB) Depending on file size/quality. So if you're happy for less songs and less money, then go for it. :-) good luck.

I recomen the mobiBLU cube2. http://www.mobibluamerica.com/cube2.htmlLinkage It is small compact, beautiful, and really worth it. Last I checked they are a bit over $100 I think $125 with the tax for the 2gig version I belive. You could also get some of their lesser versions. The cube2 has 2gig and 1 gig version. Worth taking a look at.

I've had ipod's in the past and it broken down about 1and a half old. So i went out and looked and new mp3 i gone of ipods and feel that the nano a waste of space and the shuffle is a waste of time to look at. i would say for a nice looking decent mp3 with good customer sevice is a Creative Zen Photo you can have either a 4gb or a 6gb and i got the 6gb (i love my music) and i got for a birthday present a portable speaker system and i have to say the sound quality off it is great best from any mp3 i've hear from. the thing is a small stylish wee thing i don't know how much it would cost in the us but the 6GB cost me ú99 of the internet also with the mp3 player you get a fm radio and you can also put your pictures on it so its a great wee thing

DO NOT get an mp3 player from Dell. I know they don't make them anymore, but just in case you find one on ebay... just don't. ---

Creative seem to be the way to go with regards to quality.
