In the last few days of Eve I've gotten a good grasp of the game but I'm left with a few questions. 1.) When does a person stop being a beginner Isk,skill points, and ship wise? 2.)I've made my carrier in exploration of wormhole space where I take my heron and hit up relic sites and make a couple mill each trip. To me this is more viable than mining, my question is it really? 3.) What are good beginner pvp ships that work in null there's a corp I'm looking inti and there in null and do pvp?( I've gotten to caldari cruisers). 4.) Is there a good way to boost skill training (implants)for me, the wormhole exploration life I live is dangerous and death is a given.
Thank you for your help if I have any other questions I'll post them.

1.) Never.
2.) Probably, but you'll have dry spells, and then suddenly you'll find a blueprint worth a billion ISK. Mining (solo anyway) is the slowest isk there is apparently.
3.) There's a ton. For fleet stuff in null, you could be incredibly useful even as a week old newbie in an E-WAR ship. The Maulus and Griffin are especially popular for newbies. You could also roam around solo in a Kestrel picking off targets of opportunity. Interceptors are a relatively short train as well and are extremely useful in null. The video maker above has many videos using very low sp characters to solo PvP, I recommend you take a look at some of his other stuff.
Cruiser wise, again E-WAR is awesome for a newbie, the Blackbird could swing lot's of fights for you and your group. When it comes to non E-War the Caracal is awesome. Lot's of range due to the hull bonus, so it's quite forgiving for a newbie. With rapid lights you could chew through opposing frigates and destroyers quite reliably.
4.) You can mess with implants as said, or remap your stats, (I recommend INT = PER personally since those two are the primary stat for many many 'core' and ship skills. Be careful not to remap quite yet, a remap is a finite resource that can only be re-acquired through time (one a year + 2 bonus ones when you start the game). So do your research on it.

In general, if you are able to keep-up with the fleet, a REASONABLE fleet commander (FC) will let you tag-along in anything, especially if you let them know you are a rookie.
If you can fit one EWAR module, you can be useful in a fleet, even in a rookie ship. * Warp Disruptor. * Webifier. * Sensor Dampener. * Target Painter.
It takes roughly 45 days to train every T1 and navy sub-capital ship and its weapons to a usable level 3. Focusing on one or fewer ships, and you can be a much better pilot for those ships in that same amount of time. |

1) ISK, SP and ships are much less important than player skill and experience. If you're keen on learning things (e.g. research, joining a good corp and being active, posting questions here ) in 2-3 months you'll be a better player than most casuals with high SP
2) Probably. For ISK+PVP consider Faction Warfare, you can make hundreds of mil a month with very limited effort, while you PVP
3) Don't know about null, if you want to try FW (lowsec) any T1 frigate is fine
4) Cheap-ish implants as Ralph said. +3s cost 10mil each, and you only need 2 at a time (the primary and secondary attributes impacting the skill you're training). If you try lowsec, even if you blow up you should be able to save your pod most of the time (99.9% of the time once you know what you're doing)

This is a great question to ask the corp recruitment officer while you are researching them before joining. They will surely have opinions on what is and is not useful in their fleets. It will also give you an idea of how flexible they are willing to be for newbros. Different corps will range all the way from kitchen-sink (don't care what you fly) to strict doctrines (shame and ridicule for flying anything but the approved ship/fit).
The difference is a matter of preference. You'll develop opinions on that as you get more experience. However, it's nice to get a little guidance when you are new so do try and find a group that is going to take an interest in helping you learn, one way or another.

This was going to be my answer to the first question but then I saw that Ralph beat me to it.
2) Pretty much everything is better isk than mining.
4) Implants and remapping are the only two ways that you can do anything to change how your skills train. The Blood Raider boosters were a one time thing. It's never happened in the game before or at least that I am aware of. With remaps you have to be careful because it is possible to hurt yourself more than help.
CCP has talked about removing implants that effect skill training. It hasn't happened yet but if they do they will boost base training to compensate. They removed learning skills from the game several years ago for similar reasons. |

Thank you for your help if I have any other questions I'll post them.
1) Player skill counts for more. A 10 year vet with a new alt can run rings around people with more SP. Partly due to wise skill choices but mainly due to experience, situational awareness, tactical knowledge, manual piloting skills etc etc
Note that you can have close to perfect skiils in a Frigate for a specific purpose in a few months, other things take years. So a 4 year old character may be a veteran at flying carrier with fighter skills maxed but still a beginner with 6 months or a year to go at flying say a freighter.
2) Mining has one advantage. If you need to be AFK randomly at a moments notice cos kids/work/gf/bf etc etc mining is relatively safe to leave the PC for short times compared to most other activities. You even watch movies while doing it. Otherwise it sucks as its boring and low income.
3) Talk to the corp and ask what they need. Do they use doctrines? Do they do armor fleets or shield fleets? Just ask them.
4) Do not stress too much about the SP mini-game as saving even a few weeks a year is neither here nor there long term. Your best bet if you play occasionally is get a jump clone and put expensive implants in the clone that sits in station while your offline and cheap implants (or none) in the clone that might get podded. |

For character age, look at a players corp history. When you make a character you are immediately placed in an NPC corp so the join date is the same as the creation date. Your character was created on October 22nd 2015 at 01:14 EVE time. |

Ships of every size have different roles and niches. An interceptor can do certain things like tackling infinitely better than say a titan. That is why combined forces in an organised fleet is so powerful.
I've been playing 6 months and I rarely fly anything bigger than a frigate at the moment. Assault frigates are a waste of time, but the other 3 T2 frigates are definitely worth training into. And don't underestimate the power of t1 frigates. They might not be a match 1v1 for a pirate faction ship, but they can still be exceptionally powerful. Finally don't be scared of training multiple races. I originally only trained gallente, but now I'm training into amarr and caldari too.

My combat pilot (this one and only one) has over 6.7 million sp and all I can fly is t1 frigates and t1 destroyers. Although I have learned the interceptor skill but not able to fly them yet. That sp is all combat related.

1.) After a few months I felt like I wasn't a newbie in HS any more. I then moved to null and was a newbie again for a long time. After a while I started to feel competent and I moved to WHs. I now feel like a newbie yet again.
2.) Yes, it is definitely more exciting. If you like mining, grab a venture and ninja gas in WHs. Sleepers don't spawn for the first 15 minutes, for the right sites you can make a lot of ISK doing that.
3.) I would train an interceptor. Bubbles are going to be your bigger enemy, so if you're solo, avoiding gate camps/bubbles in null will be a big problem. If you're caldari, I would personally train for a crow and manticore for solo roaming
4.) level 3 training implants are pretty cheap, I would set up a 'training' clone and one for roaming. Just jump into a blank clone before you enter the WH |

Got another, So on my training queue the cloak 4 says "this skill cannot be trained on trial accounts". Does this mean that i cannont train this skill, about a week ago i activated a plex on my account to make it so that my character wasn't trial. Is this just the game saying that trial accounts can't train this skill and nothing to do with my account or is my account still trial. |

Thank you for your help if I have any other questions I'll post them.
1) When you stop thinking of yourself as one. I was a 'beginner' for longer than many because I believed I had to 'level up' to the point that I could PVP. This was a mistake. I had 8 or 9 million skillpoints and still thought I was helpless (so I was). Characters with the right mindset, under 1 million SP and minimal resources can make an impact on a fight.
2) Yes, null exploration can be lucrative, and wormhole exploration is similar.
3) This is going to depend on the corps you are looking at. Ask them. If they have a strong preference for armor fleets, you won't want to fly anything Caldari - whereas if they have a preference for shields, your existing Caldari skills will transfer well.
4) Train jump clones. When going into danger, just use +2 implants for the skill you are currently training (so if it is an Int/Perception skill, plug in those two implants only, later if you finish that skill and start working on something that's Percep/Cha, you can add in a +2 Cha implant). When logging off for 24 hours or more, jump clone into a dedicated learning clone.
I support the New Order and CODE. alliance. www.minerbumping.com

1.) When does a person stop being a beginner Isk,skill points, and ship wise? -You always be learning new things. People aren't joking when they say that theyre still learning after 5 years.
2.)I've made my carrier in exploration of wormhole space where I take my heron and hit up relic sites and make a couple mill each trip. To me this is more viable than mining, my question is it really? - Mining is good early on for early isk, but if youre making a couple mill isk per trip doing exploration, then thats great. Continue to work on your exploration/combat skills, and you can land 100m + trips regularily.
3.) What are good beginner pvp ships that work in null there's a corp I'm looking into and there in null and do pvp?( I've gotten to caldari cruisers). - Depends on the corp's doctrines. For Caldari, there are a few viable options: Condor, Kestrel, Griffin, Merlin, Caracal*, Moa. Check with the corp to see if they are good fits. Those, plus their T2 counterparts are all fantastic caldari ships.
4.) Is there a good way to boost skill training (implants)for me, the wormhole exploration life I live is dangerous and death is a given. - Cheap implants. Thats the only way to boost skillpoint training times. |

Only going to comment on #1. Beginner is a relative term in EvE.
At the most basic level once you are comfortable navigating around and getting your ship to do what you want then you are no longer a beginner.
At the other end you will be a beginner for many years to come as you try out portions of the game you have never experienced before. |
