+1 to CCP! The old tunes bring back memories, and low-sec doesn't sound so boring! (honestly, I switch the music off whenever I'm in low sec). |

I listen too it and feel like I heard all this when I started, but it's been different for a while.
When was the actual music changed to begin with? I only started in 2013 so it seems odd.

Agreed.
Now CCP needs to make dynamic jukebox out of all the old school songs.

"Infinate distortion of space and time" is neat.

This is the stuff the jukebox will play.
That minmatar rock song is found in combat sites when you hit the gate. Some missions or something.

I always wondered how systems sounded when lots of people died there. CCP said it would sound different. If the more dramatic songs like "Doomed forever" started playing in a highsec system it would make sense. I don't know if I've encountered the variations CCP speaks about.

Dynamic jukebox would involve an actual dynamic track engine. The game does not support that. It supports a region based track.
Talk of certain music playing based on things happening around you is false. Yes, it came from CCP, and no it doesn't actually happen. It was an idea that came out unfinished, because thats what CCP always does.
If they had gone all the way with it, there would have been a valid argument for replacing the jukebox code. As it stands they would have been better off keeping the jukebox with region subfolders. |

I downloaded all the tunes a long time ago and play them through a well-behaved freeware player I discovered.
