Edited by: Roy Gordon on 08/01/2007 09:08:01 I would like some help from you, more knowledgable pod-pilots out there about what rigs would be best to outfit my mission running Raven. My current setup is as follows-
Highs 6 x arbalest cruise/siege launchers 1 x 150mm proto rail gun 1 x small tractor beam
Meds True Sansha cap recharger Dread Gurista large shield booster T2 large shield extender 2 x T2 rat specific active shield hardeners T2 invul field
Lows 3 x T2 PDU 2 x T2 BCU
So, what rigs would go with this setup, and why?

Not entirely sure about this but I think the popular thing to do is use cap recharge rigs, as many you need to keep your shield booster running forever. Even if you currently can keep your booster on forever, using cap rigs enables you to free up low and medslots from cap gear like cap rechargers and PDU's so you can have other toys there.
And I'm not at all sure about that LSE II you have, I'd have another hardener instead tbh.

I am going with the CCCs - been thinking about using 2 hardener rigs and only one CCC. But BCUs are soooooo beautifull!

Although freeing up lows to add more BCU is a nice idea, not sure how effective it will be given that you have 2 BCU already - stacking penalties might make it not worthwhile.
A ROF rig and CPU or Grid rig to compensate (can't remember which of those two the ROF rig affects). Then a Cap rig in your 3rd slot to allow any extra BCU or maybe a Grid rig so you can use T2 Cruise launchers

High
6x Arbalest Torps 1x drone augmentor/extender (or data miner) 1x tractor
mid 1x AB 2x Mission specific hardeners/ampliphiers 1x shield boost 2x shield boost amp
Low 2 or 3x BCU 1x damage control 1 or 2x pdu
Add Cap rigs to this and you will run missions much faster. I only use torps on lvl4s. For small rats I just spread out my torps as 'pointers' for my t2 drones

How about shield resistance rigs? They are really cheap (as far as rigs go) and allow you to run the booster less often.

The stacking rules tend to make resist rigs a bit sucky imo. max out the cap recharge rigs so you can have 3 bcu and a free mid. Target painter, afterburner, even a sensor booster.
I read you can only have 2 rigs of the same type can anyone confirm? And by the same type do they mean same group on the same rig?
The rig that decrease explosion radious may be good too. --------------------------------- There's a simple solution to every problem. It is always invariably wrong |

I'd assume that rigs like cap rigs aren't limited like that, they don't stack just like other cap mods don't stack. Then again I've never used a rig so I'm not 100% sure. ---

First of all I would drop the extender and get an amp.
For mission raven rigs there are only 2 choices.
1 the rig the increases cap regen(the one that increases cap capacity is good but not quite as goos) 2 the rig that helps your missiles hit smaller stuff for more damage.
Everything else is a waste. For all the other things your better of using modules on a Raven. Try to fit 3 BCUs on there too.
Wherever you went - here you are.

i currently run 3x bcu and 2x pdus with T2 cruise. i am thinking about going with 2x CCCs and 1x rigor catalyst (i think, the one that increase damage to smaller sig radius).
i will then drop 1 pdu for either a RCU II if needed (since the extra cpu usage of the missle rig) or go with a DC.
i already tank almost all missions fine atm, so id rather have more fire power

Edited by: syko GSXR on 09/01/2007 11:43:22 my mission set up is
highs 6 t2 siege launcher
mids pith xl booster, gist amp, 3 t2 hardeners, t2 cap recharger
lows 3 named power relays, 2 t2 pdu
rigs 3 CCC
this get me about 7060 cap with a recharge rate of 166 sec. cap will lvl out at about 40% with a 400cap every 4sec booster and all 3 hardeners running non-stop. while dps sucks it can tank just about a full argo from any mission worts it got tested agianst was 3rd stage of pirate slaughter and held up fine. but skills will change fitting since i have about 3cpu to spare, and just use t2 med drones for frigs
