Well if CCP is trying to make the game unplayable for people they sure have done it right in this last patch .... Seems all it does is cause problems in the game.... sluggish behavior... lousy docking routines .... screen oddities ... and constant lag effects as to make playing eve a nightmare... all thes things and more have been experienced and some still happening.... seems like all CCP wants is to make it so slow to dock or take off unless you are a smaller ship.... Are you trying to make people leave eve, CCP?
mining links stop now and if you don't check lasers from time to time on the value of your yeild won't even notice it I also heard a man lose a rattler to links stopping to boost his shields. once I was mining with my many toons and they had disconnected 10 minutes and I never noticed as my ships all were still out mining as if nothing happened.... they were gone yet the video did not show they had left. nice... maybe this new ploy is aimed at bot miners but the miners that never adk are being made t suffer. please restore eve to its once great game status.... like it is now it is surly going to die.

Returning it to how it was would be the death knell. BIAB is a complete rewrite of some of the most fundamental underlying code, done in order to allow things to be bigger and better than they could have ever been under the previous system.
To give you a bit of an analogy, think of a flight that has already taken off. Prior to BIAB, we were under the clouds in a rain storm. There was terrible turbulence, visibility was low, and if you weren't sitting buckled in your chair, you were probably sitting on the ground holding on to the nearest seat.
Right now, we're in the clouds. Things are turbulent, sometimes worse than below the clouds, sometimes better, but by large, it's a different type of turbulence that we aren't used to, so it seems worse than before. We are, however, still ascending through the clouds.
Once we're above the clouds, we'll be above rainstorm and the wind it brings. Things will be bright and sunny. The air is calm. Visibility is incredible.
Don't demand the plane go back below the clouds just because you spilled your drink. We're all in this together, and in the long-run, suffering these growing pains will be very, very worth the way things will be once we're above the clouds (and through these growing pains).
Planning a trip to Thera? Check out http://eve-scout.com/ for a list of the current connections.
Once you've made your choice, join the EvE-Scout channel and request a scout to make sure your connection is clear!

Ill say the same thing here as Ive said in alliance and too friends in game.
Whats being changed is over a decade old code. Stuff that hasnt been changed since originally programmed and most, if not all, of the original programmers of said code are gone. Its being rewritten from the ground up to bring Eve into a new decade, a VERY ambitious program and one I shall give CCP kudos and BALLS to attempt to an old game. It should lay the framework to a modular and expansive game that can grow easier than old outdated code.
So yes a lot of bugs and oddities should and will occur. Yes it sucks but the alternative is old code thats unchanged and cant keep up with current tech irregardless of all the bitching and whining ppl do everywhere. So be aware of what the true scope of CCPs work is atm, give them breathing room and patience to see it through... and THEN when it still sucks to you *****. But not before its done.
I dislike a lot of the bugs, things creeping up but if I understand where its going, why and whats being accomplished I can understand it and just grin and bear it. Cuz everyone else has the same handicaps atm. And yes CCP will fix and listen. Itll just take time.
So every *****, whine, **** and moan.... remember this. DO you want the game to stay the exact same way or to grow? Growth hurts, challenges and causes sadness. But the end result is hopefully good.
Imam: Have you heard anything I've said?
Richard B. Riddick: You said it's all circling the drain, the whole universe. Right?
Imam: That's right.
Richard B. Riddick: Had to end sometime.

Things change. We're all in the same boat with the same choice - adapt or die. CCP has the same choice - Eve must adapt to a changing market if it is to survive.
If BIAB was working perfectly if wouldn't make everyone happy - one of the design goals is to let CCP get rid of off-grid links. Should see lots of tears (and cheers) when that happens! |

Quoting this for emphasis. If you run across something specific that you know shouldn't be happening, send in a bug report. The in-game reporting feature is very robust. It takes a screenshot for you right there if you need to, adds arrows/circles to the screenie to point out exactly what's wrong, and makes the whole process as painless as possible.
If the devs don't know what to fix, then they can't fix it, so report!

Our sound team has already fixed that issue internally and the fix is scheduled to release in our December deployment, thanks to a bug report from last month.

you should spend a bit more time in "Issue" forum than in "general", I keep redirecting players to the ticket system, should I tell them to the "bug report" in game instead? (booster not applying, pos gun stuck on ship and needing dock redock to fix, and other issuer, but that was just yesterday.)

Ever heard of growing pains? Well sometimes in the digital world of programming they tend to occur however once its all said and done and polished and pretty you'll be thankful they choose the path they did. I went on the test server Singularity the other day and I got to give it to them, CCP are creating a truly beautiful game! It was like every other second was a 'Kodak Moment' All I can say is keep up the excellent work, you guys really do deserve more credit than you're given.
On an unrelated note does anyone know where I can buy cheap storage space I am running out quickly

I know EVE is old (i'[m nto a tech type but i imagine it can be a pain in the rear dealing with it), but I think it is annoying for many of us (especially the most loyal customers) is how often things get broken.
Crimson Harvest is a perfect example, because of it I had all manner of problems on another character and had to file a support ticket (which was handled expertly btw). No one is expecting things to go perfectly all the time, but to be honest you guys at CCP need to work on these quality control issues. We keep hearing about VR this and VR that, is CCP slipping into the old way of pre-incarna where the game was allowed to slip while CCP focused on some new shiny thing elsewhere?
Snarkily asking us if we've file bug reports (many of us have and do when there is an issue) isn't the most helpful kind of reply. A simple "we know there are some issues and we're working on them, thanks for your help" is a more proper response.
Thanks. |

What are you talking about? I regularly come here, after crying my eyes out over solving the same defect again for the 10th time and by doing so causing X many new issues which I couldn't cook up in my worst nightmares, just to see people be extremely patient and understanding at the slow (but steady) rate of bug fixings (and reintroduction).
I mean.. I threw out a change that ruined peoples training time and the amount of people that are just netflix & chill about it is worrying me much more than people complaining about nebulous things being broken without wanting to go into specifics. I actually do not worry much about issues that are not well defined, life's complicated enough as things stand so I don-Št have to go around filling into the blanks of complaints just so I can understand them well enough to feel bad about them. It just seems like a waste of time, regardless of whether someone is trolling or not.

I remember a bug from the other day which I haven't got around to seeing if I can reproduce (purely due to Fallout 4, my bad), but here, have a rough description:
I was something like adding bulkheads to an obelisk I was sitting in. When I dragged the module onto the ship it added but stayed offline telling me there wasn't enough CPU, then I could turn it on afterwards as the role bonus had applied, so probably just the order in which it adds the modules and applies the role bonus.
All in all BIAB seems to have been alright, but I question how much need there is for it now that big battles are less likely to occur.
