With the new probing having an element working on the sensor strenght of the target this presents a problem.
Freighters do not have any sensor strenght (according to the info tab), as such this would mean that there is 0 chance of probing the freighter if it is by itself?

Yeah, I don't think you can probe freighters.

Technically the correct interpretation mathematically would be that you always find freighters to perfect accuracy (1/0 is undefined, but can be interpreted as infinity as well).
But it is interesting to wonder what happens in this case as CCP have coded it, if a dev would care to comment?

Really? Cause I had a frieghter within 1 million KM and a snoop probe couldn't find him after 20 tries.

We had a freighter today, many different probers, using different probes, all in range and with no luck on multiple tries.

It was impossible to probe it. We had 4-5 people probing but got 0 results.
Btw why dont they drop loot now that the container got replaced with wrecks?

^ Because that would be the same as dropping a can...
full of a lot of shuttles, and kill the node.
Something like that was the reason they kept freighters from dropping stuff.

tbh not being able to probe them isnt as bad as this:
freighter at planet 1 inside our dictor bubble. grid difference 1-2km away from warp in @ 0, we all go in and dont see anything, thought it was lag, 2 mins later we realize we are right on the edge of a grid. the ***est thing i have ever had happen to me
