How many crew does a Titan have on board? How many crew does a Mothership have on board? How many crew does a Carrier have on board? How many crew does a Dreadnought have on board? Quote: null

. ... . . . 1 to pilot them but you need a second person to "jump" the ships anywhere.

Considering there's a backstory Chronicle about a capsuleer Apocalypse having a crew of over 6000 I think we can put the idea of ships being piloted by a single capsuleer to rest.
That and the idea of a ship roughly 15km long being crewed by a single person is beyond ridiculous.

Battleships have a crew of about 5000. I would guess that dreadnaughts have crews around 15000, same for carriers. Motherships and titans may be close to 100000, but I'm really just guessing. --- Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail. - Emerson |

Someone on the Something Awful forums added the Avatar to this image after calculating its size using the two available reference pictures (RMR picture with all ships included and the previous ship size image which only went up to Dreadnaughts)...12-15km seems about right.

When Revelations gave a bump to every ship, I thought they missed in opportunity to add some extra content. My half thought thru idea was that in addition to add a crew quarters to every ship. Before heading out, you fill up your crew quarters with the crew. When you start taking damage, your crew starts dying, your ship loses a small amount of effectiveness.
You could also have new professions around recruiting and training civilians, turning them into crew to be sold to corporations for profit.

If you use the tactical overlay in space next to an avatar, you'll see it's about 17km long, about the same size as the ISSD Executor.

jovian Wetgrave states that a Frigate, or ships its size, can be piloted by pod only.
Hands of a Killer makes it unquestionibly clear that atleast one battleship in EVE has around 6000 or so crew members. IIRC, there are old blueprint pictures of some ships, and a few cruisers are shown with a crew listing of 450-800 range.
Going with that info, there would be well over ten thousand on a Carrier or Titan, tens of thousands on a mothership, and easily over 100,000 on a Titan, and that's likely excluding the crew of the fleet docked inside the titan.

why not add crew as additional resource requred to build ship? thats (imho) would be very cool. Could also expand roleplay aspect of eve by adding ability to recruit officers which will give minor bonuses to ship systems (same way as rigs really). Officer could get levels as you blow up ships :D
yay...!!!!

There was actually another version of eve ships+that chart somewhere. Didnt have the titan (or possibly capships) attached to it though.

I think it would be cool to add more micro-management/customization for your ship by adding crew levels, officers, and the like to your ship. This would give you more incentive to keep your ship alive, not just your pod. Also, and this is waaaaaay crazy, since i like to solo rat out in deep 0.0 for long periods of time (amarr not needing ammo ftw) even things like R&R for your crew. This would make a HUGE increase to the trade market for goods like marines, exotic dancers, spirits, holoreels... all sorts of things. I think the bonuses shouldn't be so huge that everyone HAS to do it, but if people want to hire a more experienced crew, or if they just want to use vitoc enslaved matari, i think they should be able to. Would give me a reason to have stuff in my cargo hold while i go ratting, and give people reasons to keep their ships alive for a long time (this apoc i'm flying now is almost 3 months old and has been in use almost daily).
