So main idea here is that we need a CONCORD based epic arc.
Why? Because we have a pretty big problem here I've noticed...
I've recently started doing nullsec missions for the pirate factions and will occasionally get combat missions against CONCORD. This is all well and good except for the fact that I lose standing to them like any other faction's ships i blow up in a mission and there isn't ANY method for repairing it....ever.
- Security status was separated from CONCORD's standing a while back, and even then it only ever applied to the CONCORD corp, not the faction. - CONCORD doesn't have ANY factions it likes to allow for derived standings gains. - CONCORD now doesn't have any agents of its own.
The thing is, CONCORD used to have agents, and CCP removed them. Why? Because A) it let players regain security too easily because security and standing were still tied together and B) It would let players gain standing with all the highsec empire factions too easily because all but the pirate factions liked CONCORD and therefore always gave derived standing gains.
The solution is a CONCORD epic arc because epic arc standing gains from completing an arc are immune to derived standing gains OR losses, which is something I found was not unique to the SoE arc after having finished the Guristas epic arc fairly recently, and having this rule being confirmed by a GM.
This will finally give me an option for regaining standings for that one time I pass through Yulai and CONCORD wastes me.
Even better, it could open the way for players to get CONCORD ships, all with fairly normal stats, but use all 4 faction's ship skills and have the "insta teleport" tech removed, because as far as I'm aware the CONCORD ships themselves are nothing all that special besides their ability to deploy anywhere (lore wise).

Concord ships should never land in player hands.
Otherwise, they already have a fine LP store, and I've no objection to a concord epic arc in principle. |

Hard choices, hard choices. Don't do missions against concord if you don't like to lose a standing towards them.
Whole current standings needs a serious rework. For me person who gain standings to Caldari should lose twice as much in Gallente. Shooting any faction ship should also reduce respective faction standings.
Faction militia, should not chase low security players across higsec , but only focus on players that have low standings.

Well the problem here is that while I certainly can avoid all the CONCORD missions, if I or anyone else does them, there's no options to ever recover.

I agree that there should be a way to recover from bad standings with Concord. I can recover from bad standings with everyone else. Is there a justification for Concord being different? Or is it just an oversight? PS - if added, Concord rewards should not be Concord ships, but confiscated ships from random pirate factions.
CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

Man I would love a CONCORD battleship, but I'm pretty sure I'd love a "well balanced" sexy CONCORD battleship purely because I can't have one at the moment.
Oh, and +1. Idea makes sense, should be able to recover standings with them.
Edit: I do like the idea of CONCORD ships bumping freighters, might even be worth adding them for it. |

Funny thing is that even unintentionally operating a motor vehicle that closely resembles or imitates a law enforcement vehicle is just as every bit illegal as illegal can get. Just ask the kid that I heard got busted went up on charges of "Impersonating a police officer" last year where I live because he showed up to school in his car after a custom paint job and headlight setup snagged a real cop's attention. It also didn't help that cops around where I live drive Dodge Chargers, just like his. Not quite the same thing we are talking about, but still.
"Imitation" CONCORD ships wouldn't make sense anyways, why would they hand out hand-me-downs. Lord knows CONCORD (and CCP for that matter) wouldn't in their right minds offer the real deal either. Lore aside, I wouldn't expect anything beyond gimmicky non-weaponized and under-tanked versions that would be hardly ideal for anything more than a peaceful stroll from gate to gate at best if something like that ever comes along.

There is already a concord LP store, Epic arcs also don't normally reward LP anyway. So there is no need to add anything new to the LP store or even deal with LP when creating an epic arc.
I'd prefer there to also be a simple non grind way to do it. Tags or something where you submit tags then gain 0.1 standing back per week or something. Like manufacturing tags for standing/sec status should take time, so you can't just dump a whole big lot and instantly be perfect, but if you stop doing the 'bad' (according to that faction) behavior and drop the tags then in a while you will be all good with them again. |

Not that I really support the whole concord ship idea or anything, but... police fleet vehicles are pretty regularly sold off when they're replaced.
That's why you occasionally see Crown Vic or Impala taxi cabs that still have little "Police Interceptor" decals.

On the one hand it seems to make no sense that we can recover standings with every faction but Concord and yet in some ways it does make sense that we cannot. If you went around your city / town shooting police officers do you think they would offer you an "easy button" way to make nice and have them forget your past.
In the grand scheme of things EvE instead of wasting time patching into the existing terrible standings thing we all deal with, I would rather they spend the time rethinking and then remake the entire system. Maybe standings as we know them need to just go away completely and be replaced with an expanded flagging system? |

Yeah they do and the remaining 2 level 2 missions out there give you a nice security status increase. I used to have a security status of 5.6 because I did one of them.
They even give you a medal.
But I don't disagree.
