We can remote procure, contract, modify orders, sell, set up manufacturing, but one thing missing is refining at range. For those of us in the procurement ring this would make it easier to size down our purchases to set up contracts. |

Sure, why not.
New skill or no? Remote trading and industry require a skill that determines the range. |

Make refining take time and a manufacturing line, and I'll even accept it as part of the current skill. If you can do it remotely I think time and a limit to the number of 'lines' is important for balance though. |

Otherwise, I say jump in a travel interceptor and take the two minutes to fly over and refine it in person.
EvE is hard. It's harder if you're stupid.
I couldn't have said it better.
Hello, Mr Carebear. Would you like some cheese with that whine?

I do not have an issue with a skill based system, I am capped on all other relative trading skills, what's one more.
Though the current system does not limit me to the range at which I put in a contract. So, someone at the station has to go put my things together and ship them off... not much of a stretch to thus also say that that organization/person at the station ran it through a refiner too, at a fee of course.
