give them a 10m/s mobility only upon recall. problem solved.....
For posting an idea into F&I:
come up with idea, try and think how people could abuse this, try to fix your idea - loop the process until you can't see how it could be abused, then post to the forums to let us figure out how to abuse it.....
If your idea can be abused, it WILL be.

No. They are sentries. Kind of like Sentry guns. They don't move. What makes them better than heavies? Better optimal and falloff, and they don't have to fly out to the target. Plus their damage is almost as good as heavy drones (not counting the Gecko).
Pay attention to your sentry drones. Stay near them. Take care of them. Nurture them. Tell them you love them. When post-partum depression kicks in, abandon them. |

What sentry drones really need is an anchor command. While they are anchored they can fire, but not move. While moving they can move, but not fire. There needs to be a timer when anchoring, just like modules, maybe 10 or 15 seconds. Now They can return to you, but they can't be OP mobile 70 km drones and you can't just send them anywhere. |

Makes sense. The idea is to keep them different from heavies, obviously, but perhaps they could benefit from a small convenience tweak like this one.
