Edited by: Strel Samodelkin on 24/01/2007 00:08:09 Edited by: Strel Samodelkin on 24/01/2007 00:07:26 I don't like Level 4 missions, as they take too long to do solo and don't give as much Loyalty Points if you factor in time spent doing them. They're not worth it. I instead take the "half ass level 3 approach", essentially doing the missions semi-AFK.
Drake: Heavy Missiles with FoF missiles, and some "standard" heavy missiles as backup just in case. 2 Rat Specific Hardeners and an Invulnerability Hardener Two Ballistic Control Systems, a Nano, whatever.
Raven: Same, except I use FoF Cruise Missiles if possible.
So, I go to the mission objective, and spread out FoF Missile fire about 1 second each. Often times I have to fire off a non FoF missile to get aggro going, so my FoF missiles hit their targets. I occasionally look on the screen to reload and very rarely do a shield boost.
The only thing that can be occasionally annoying is the FoF missiles fire on buildings if they're in range. But this isn't all that bad, I just go into a particular direction and fire off a few non FoF missiles to get aggro of EVERYONE on the map. With nanos and Afterburner IIs they can't catch me, but eventually I look on the screen later to confirm that they're closer than the structures.
Pretty much I mostly go for speed and loyalty point gain, but mostly my goal is to do it while doing something else. Such as studying, reading the forums, or working. Anyone care to share their mission running technique?

I use a very similar technique for running level 3's. With the addition of having an alt warp in just after I have all the aggro, and start salvaging the wrecks.

are you just farming LP for implants or what is your overall goal? I've found that i've preferred lvl 4s because certain missions can give me up to 20m in bounties (e.g. Extravaganzas).

Oh yeah? Yes, but they take such a long while. That and there is significantly increased risk, and I have to actually PAY ATTENTION and NOT BE LAZY/BUSY to do level 4 missions.

its is possible to lvl4 missions the same way but u need a logistics ships though a T1 ship like the Exequror would do.
As i am gallente i use the domi for all my mission whoring needs. Here is what i do which is about the same as yours:
I fist warp in agro everything and see how my tank holds out. Then i have a friend warp in and remote repairs me. with the support and my own reppers i can take alot of damage(dont know the numbers). Was able to tank one of the angel mission like that. Once i have all the ships agroed and my friend has warped in i take out the frigs with drones then switch to large drones and go AFK. I check back every so offten to see if i am having any probs. This works for most missions though angel and merc missions r a bit tough to find the balance

Your strat depends on a "friend" to assist you, however.

If you like semi-afk mission running you should train up Gallente skills and use a Domi or some such to let drones kill everything. Get a few guns to kill off cruisers when you look up.
With my nighthawk/drake/raven I generally grab a bunch of targets and set my drones on the frigates and my missiles (1-3 launchers on each) and then do what I was doing and look back in a min or two.

Being gallente, I use the drones approach. Either t2 hammers or t1 ogres (or any of the others depending on main dmg type to use). I'll be able to use ogre II's in a couple of days, so that should make things a little faster. Those, along with a full t2 armor tank setup (and t2 mar and t2 lar) and as many heavy NOS' as I can fit make for a pretty good semi-afk lvl 3 drone boat.
However, at this point in my life I have a little more time to spend playing the game (a brief island of sanity amidst the sea of turmoil , I'll be back at it soon enough ); I'm not trying to cram EVE in amongst other things that need to be done, my EVE time is that and that only: EVE time

I know, it's the busy man's thread. But does anybody have a good setup for a Level 3 mission Domi, while I am actually paying full attention to the game. I never did a level 3 mission yet, but I have some level 3 agents slowly showing up in the "available" category. Any tips or ideas are greatly appreciated.

Eanm, faction specific hardener's (doubled up when you can), mar and lar, cap rechargers/injector (800s), and three heavy NOS', using t2 hammerheads and t1 ogres has done the trick for me (almost 2 mil sp in drones). Fitting t2 armor tank stuff has only made it easier.
This is pretty much the only setup I can recommend, as it's the only one that I've ever really used, but I can attest to it's effectiveness. Lvl 3's are a piece of cake in my domi and with t2 hardeners/marII and lar II, lvl 3's are kind of a joke now.

Maybe you should all just pay CCP double the money and at the end of the month they give you a truckload of LP in return, you'll even save yourselves the trouble of loggin in

Lemme make sure I understand you. We should pay every month to play EVE and not play it how we would like? I don't remember reading that part in the EULA. But I'm sure I just missed it. Why don't you educate us all here and post it once you've found it.

I know where you're coming from with your remark, considering the title of this thread. But I would like to point out that Kuang Jao's and my own post refer to full attention to the game. I also think that there is nothing wrong with playing the game while doing something else here and there. After all it is a''round the clock game. Why not multitask with EVE?
